Guest guest
This has been going on and on for years (nearly 2 decades+ in my experience)! There are those who need directions (regardless of if they really want to follow or not) There are those who have learned the divinatory crafts and are prepared and willing to give directions, just for the satisfaction of it or for a suitable exchange. PLEASE note I am talking about sincere parties on both ends and not the well-you-all-know-what-many-have-been-writing-about-in-their- messages-and-books! Skirmishes, like the recent one and many many others before this one arise because -- ? Is it because the subsidized meals available in the college cafetaria for students are now being sold to wider body of consumers (for whatever reason?) Are the 'Food-Club members' objecting because they want to munch on their salad in peace while they are reading jyotish, or even an uplifting message and do not want to be disturbed by those who drop- by and pick up conversation with unwilling lunchers? Is some 'on-the-side' sale going on which is perceived/feared/observed but not addressed directly and causing some concern, not by others who wish to sell, but just because they see it as a library-cafetaria! Well let me assure you, where I live, most public libraries have a coffee shop selling their wares, quietly and unobstrusively. Although there is a BIG difference! They are selling coffee, muffins and danishes and not books or knowledge (so completely different business- line!) Maybe that is the answer as I have seen in one innovative forum, actually two of those! They have two boards -- one for discussions and the other purely for readings! No mixing of needs and pleasures!! How Tanvir and Neeraj will make that happen is up to them! RR
