The Vedic Foundation is a Division of Lala Lahori Ram Gupta Charitable Trust (Regd. Feb. 1996). This Division was created specifically for the study and Research into Veda/Vedanta and thus promote the cause of Bhartiya or Vedic culture. With these objectives in view, an Institute has been started by the name of "INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF VEDIC STUDIES", at Faigul, Tehri Garhwal, Uttranchal, India, in a very congenial and serene environment of the Himalayas. It is a 12 year residential program based on ancient Gurukula system of teaching and shall impart theoretical and practical instructions in the disciplines of Gyan, Bhakti, and Yoga Sadhana.

 

 

 

In our first batch, we have 21 students. Our aim is to train them as Veda and Vedanta teachers with the highest standards of teaching-discipline, in depth study of Vedic knowledge and provide them with a thorough practical and theoretical training so that they become the chosen few to spread the gospel of Vedic culture worldwide.

 

 

 

The total expenses for the students' lodging, boarding, books, clothes, examination fees etc. are born by the Trust and no fees are charged to their parents. We are, therefore, accepting sponsorships for the upkeep of these students. It is estimated that an amount of Rupees 2000.00 ($50.00) per student per month is needed for their maintenance, which shall cover for food, clothing, books, fees, health care etc. We have a website, for which the Link is given below, wherein the details of the program, the students and their individual pictures are given.
