Guest guest
Divya, From what little i can gather from our Purana, Itihasas, Upanishads the 2 most talked about issues are fear and favor. when we over come these, we are a superior being than we r now. all the rakshasas who did severe penance got great boons close to imortality, invincibity and yet had a loophole in the boons still suffered from it at ttimes the greatest loophole being their ego once it out grew them boons the end was apparent-Vinasha kale vipreetha buddhi. say Narakusara, ravana, shisupala, etc ravana is best illustrated when he is asked by Rama a mere mortal to come next day when his charriotr was killed, and his charriot broken and ravans weapons exhausted a mere mortal gives me a reprive what an inviincible warrior Iam this let him down most next day. AS I KNOW 3RD house and all Upachaya houses deal with this acpet u said and above all the others too Lagna, 4th 10th in terms of personality, strenght of mind, character, and succes in efforts. upachaya i said y'day in a mail u can add them too. rest sure Sri RR ji will add in better style, content than mine Dear Sir, It is an interesting thought..... >And perhaps through that exercise we go beyond it and face other bigger fears that keep growing over time, over lifetimes? Maybe, since fear is for the future, we have to finally learn to live in the present moment. And accept whatever happens. And be one with God's will. Seems like all these things are related ....... for achieving that perfect state of equilibrium where nothing affects us. Also I feel that whatever we fear, comes to us.....whether we want to face it or not. I would request you to add how we should see in a chart, what a person fears What is the definition of fear in Jyotish terms. Is it a complexity of mind? Is it lack of confidence? Does it arise from some unfulfilled desire? Which planets should we associate with it? Lots of questions... ... Do reply. Guest guest
Kumar ji, Your kindness overestimates this tiny ant, Sir :-) What more could I say that would really be better than what scriptures have said. Fear is loss of courage. Courage is seen from 3rd house. The house that is 12th therefrom is 2nd. 2nd is about accumulatables, acquisitions, holdings. Moha in other words, desires, attachments and possessions that may lead to loss of courage (though paradoxically, they are also acquired at times by overcoming fear!). Association of 3rd and 12th may lead to fearfulness. However, if strong planets or benefics are involved, the nature of fear may change. Mars indicates bravery and courage and if afflicted may give a fearful tendency. Lunar nodes have been associated with phobias (extreme, paralyzing fear) and if afflicted and ssociated adversely with indicators of courage and bravery may induce fear. However, I do not wish someone to generalize this and then try to apply in a given chart and without taking other factors into consideration dismiss same. Have seen that happen often :-) hence must sound the caution! Guest guest
Respected Sir and Divya Ji, Everyhouse in the horoscope belongs to 'fear." Fear of not getting respect, not having money, not having brothers, not having love of mother, not having kids, marriage, death, GOD, recognition, income and Moksha. Indeed whole astrology is generated by some very "fearful" rishi and being continued by some very fearful people like me and others present in the group. Otherwise whats the need of knowing the future ? Why cant a human being accept whatever is given by GOD ? Howcome "Moha" leads to loss of courage. Many people wants to be rich and famous. Its moha. To attain their goals they show courage. Some people get success and some dont. So "moha" is a catalytic agent for having courage. 3rd lord and 12th lord can lead to fearfulness ? How ? Any chart showing that ? I would really like to have chart showing this. Guest guest
Very well written indeed. This entire life evolves around fear! With thoughts so profound, Prathamesh, view astrology from another angle. Astrology is not just a future knowing tool. It began when rishis were not so fearful. It began as a method to understand nature and how nature affects human beings. It is the 'fearful' seeker of this age that starts converting astrology in a precision tool which should be able to pinpoint each event exactly. When religion, philosophy, science all are still searching for a theory of everything how can astrology in itself give the answer? And then we particularly in Jyotish say...all that had to be known about Jyotish was done by our ancient seers, they had all answers, so follow them literally or perish...the fear again! Jyotish should also be a continuously evolving vidya and it is. Itshould be there to guide , it cannot give the answers in isolation. What every man/ woman needs to do in terms of efforts, decisionmaking cannot be replaced by merely jyotish. A chart, has so many potentialities and possibilities...well we cant discuss it here for you said, no reading, so whats your mail, will mail it you seperately. regards rishi , Prathamesn Chawan <upaoakcrest wrote: > > Respected Sir and Divya Ji, > > Everyhouse in the horoscope belongs to 'fear." Guest guest
Dear Divya Ji We are not on the same page. You are trying to prove that "Moha" leads to fear. I am saying that "Moha" makes a person courageous. See one step ahead Divya Ji, The boy, if good in nature, will buy a 5000 dollar ring for his gf (from experience). The boy, if bad in nature, will throw acid on the face of the girl ( news papers are the source). The both above mentioned thing need "courage" to do. "Fear" is very small intermediate and unstable step between "Moha" and "Courage". But it does not come in all the cases and it does not have association with "Moha". Hope it explains Best Wishes Jagdish Divya <touchbase_divya (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: || Hare Rama Krishna || Jagdishji, You said... > Howcome "Moha" leads to loss of courage. Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krishna || Jagdishji, Maybe you are right. But I just see it differently. I feel that the courage you are talking of, is the intermediate step. After that courage, if the boy wins over the girl (by whatever means - ring etc), then also he can have fear of losing her if there is 'moha'. And I dont think I would categorise throwing of acid as courage. I think it is hatred and jealousy arising out of fear of losing some one, which in turn arises from attachment. Anyway, the main question was, how to we define fear in Jyotish terms and what do we see to ascertain the same in someone's chart. RRji and Prashantji have given their takes. I really appreciate that. RRji talked of 3rd and 12 house, Mars and nodes. Prashantji talked of ego, upachaya houses, lagna, 4th and 10th. I would request you to give us your take. If you do not believe fear can be defined as loss of courage, I request you to tell me how you would define it. Guest guest
like 'karma'! Every house and planet represents karma! Bravery then should also be distributed all over the horoscope and not one house, primarily the 3rd. Thanks for offering to demonstrate what you stated through a horoscope as you indicated. We shall wait with baited breath ;-) RR , Prathamesn Chawan <upaoakcrest wrote: > > Respected Sir and Divya Ji, > > Everyhouse in the horoscope belongs to 'fear." Guest guest
Respected Diviya Ji and Rohini Ranjan Ji Why do you see "GOOD" and "BAD" ? There is nothing good and bad. Let me tell you a story. On 12th April, 1919, General Dwyer entered the Jallianwala Bagh with armored cars and troops, and ordered his people to kill the Indians. Hundered of people were killed. It generated political-storm in the politics of India. General Dwyer was called back to England. And was awared and honored with a "Gold-Sword" for such a noble work by Queen of England. Noble-Men of England were praising him for his bravery for killing so many dirty-black-Indians. It was a moment of party and enjoyment.... What do you think about this moment of joy ? Now, To the learned scholar of astrology, Why do you lament for the girl whose face was burnt ? Why do you scream when a bank is being robbed ? If a girl is being burnt and raped then it must be in her horoscope ? Isnt it ? Then who are you and me to lament ? Can we start seeing things without using adjectives "Good" and "Bad" ? Who are we to judge that what comes in "stupidity" and what not ? Blame it to GOD and his cycle of KARMA. The Girl must be having planetary combination for being raped and the boy must be having planetary combination of spending life in prison. Guest guest
Jagadish, What you are focusing on is the unending debate about "freewill" and "destiny". Jyotish is a vidya which says ....adjust your karmas and you can change your life. Both freewill and destiny play an important role in life. Jyotish promises that difficult times can be mitigated , to some extent. Life is never black or white, good and bad. But one needs to grow up , understand what is your duty and do it. rishi , Prathamesn Chawan <upaoakcrest wrote: > > Respected Diviya Ji and Rohini Ranjan Ji > > Why do you see "GOOD" and "BAD" ? Guest guest
|| Hare Rama Krishna || Jagdishji, Thank you for your take on Moon being the Karaka for fear. Regarding this mail below about General Dyer, I am not sure if I understand it completely. We are talking about defining fear. And this is a story about what was perceived as courage by General Dyer's countrymen. But I am sure, in India, no one termed it as courage. Infact I have often read about it as a 'cowardly act'. Even if I was not an Indian, then also, I would not be able to call killing of innocent, unarmed people, as an act of courage. Rest of your mail is for 'the learned scholar of astrology', so I hope the learned scholar will reply Regards, Divya Prathamesn Chawan <upaoakcrest > wrote: Respected Diviya Ji and Rohini Ranjan Ji Why do you see "GOOD" and "BAD" ? Guest guest
Dear Jagdishji/Divyaji, Fear is a relative term. A person with weak Moon afflicted with close conjuction of Rahu may give him fear of spirits, bad dreams, possessions and the like. Weak Moon + Weak Mercury may give him reduced perceptive power. A debilated afflicted Venus may give a native, about to be married, the fear whether he would be able to perform well after marriage. Weak 4th house and also Lord may give fear of driving in vehicles. Plus there are hundreds of combinations like these which may be enumerated. On Fear we do not have control, they are either in-built,genetic or through pitra dosha or badhit kundli, if we talk astrologically then, otherwise its created, like someones death takes place in our building and for next 2-3 days one would have fear in passing through the corridors at late night alone. But anything weak or fear on one side will also create strenght and positive on some other corresponding side. So assets and liabilities both shall remain to keep the balance sheet levelled. Moha is a seperate entity, which is again more relative than above. Moha can make one person achieve great heights, and can also doom him to depths which would be unfathomable by normal commonsense. For ex.seeing poverty in house and moha to ones family members ,some young boy in a hutment may strive to do in career what others of his breed may not have thought. Or great heights attained for pleasing ones lover or wife or whatever. Moha to atttaining acclaim or medals or professional achievement like in Ge.Dyers case also made him act wrongly like he did. Or misplaced moha with a girls beauty may not allow a lover to get her married to another boy and he may create some drastic crime in the process. Where ones Moha lies in a individual Kundli, can be best known by a term known as Part of Fortuna.Ascendant Degrees + Moon Degrees - Sun Degrees ,whichever house falls will show interest (Moha) of the chart owner. For ex. if Fortuna falls in 7th house, it means he has lot of moha for his wife etc., in 10th then work, in 2nd then wealth and so on. Want to elaborate, but already my mails are long. Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar Ji Thank you very much. It was a very nice mail. I learned something from you. I already said to Divya Ji that fear is spread all over the horoscope. But i could not explain how ! It was because of my little knowledge of astrology. But you made things so clear for me and for Divya Ji. Now how to apply this rule for checking MOHA ? Although i am not sure what are exacly my degrees but i will try to apply this rule in my horoscope. My asc degree is 17.14 Moon degree is also 17.13 and Sun degree is 9.25. Now after adding asc and moon it comes 34.27. And after decreasing sun it comes 25.02. Now which house fall on this ? DOB 25-Aug-1981 TOB 19:13 POB Ghaziabad, UP Thanks for your time and effort Best Wishes Jagdish Bhaskar <bhaskar_jyotish (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: Dear Jagdishji/Divyaji, Fear is a relative term. Guest guest
Fear is represented by Rahu, how we will respond by the fear is ruled by Moon, if we over come fear mars has acted, if we understand the fear Jupiter has worked if we analyzes the fear the mercury has worked when fear is over ketu has worked if the fear is known to many people then sun has worked and if we have to work to over come fear. Each planet has its portfolio we have to understand the basic nature of the planet and see what planet is working. best wishes Tarun Chopra http://www.occultwizard.com/ On 9/14/06, Divya <touchbase_divya (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: > > || Hare Rama Krishna || > > Jagdishji, > > Thank you for your take on Moon being the Karaka for fear. > > Regarding this mail below about General Dyer, I am not sure if I > understand it completely. > > We are talking about defining fear. Guest guest
Sir, Is the following an observation (documented writings, newspaper clippings from those days) or a projected estimation? Kind of like GOOD and BAD, which different people judge and gauge differently! One man's terrorist is another man's martyr! Guest guest
Rishi, It is true as has been stated here and elsewhere by one and many that one has to experience and 'bhog' his or her prarabdha which can be based on accumulated karmas from past lifetimes. However, giving in to that and assuaging one's conscience or consciousness (as some do for argument's sake!) and moving away from the good and bad is not the right thing either. If that were the case then coming into this world is pointless. We come here so that we learn from prarabdha and make sure that mistakes are not repeated! Over lifetimes, this kind of watchfulness could perhaps help us 'clean our act (karma)' literally and one day the astral body, the linga sharira will actually die and MUKTI!
