Guest guest
Since few years I have developed habit alongwith other family members (Not all), whenever we leave house in the morning or whatever time, say "Narayan Narayan" alongwith "Bye", to the remaining members in house., or also when embark on a journey in train or car or whatever. Many other Marwadi families also do this and I have learnt from them only. Anyway I was invited by my daughter few years back in school to attend a fair in her school premises. I enjoy those stalls where shooting or display of courage or skills are needed. Here one stall was there where we get a tennis ball (3 balls) and have to throw on a number of thins and make them fall down from the table. I am sure all of you would enjoy this game whenever the oppurtunity comes. Anyway when i got the first tennis ball in my hand and concentrated on the tins, as the ball left my hand so did the word "Ram" was uttered lodly by me with full force and concentration, and you will not believe , all the tins were out of the table with one shot, which the stall members complimented as no one has been able to do in last two days. The remaining two balls were of course not required. And I of course complimented my Lord Rama for this small favour on me and momentary happpiness and acclaim provided to me. Same with my sons school who also invited me to a fair. Here one stall was there, where a brick is immersed in water and you have to take the brick out of the water and hold with two fingers till the minimum alloted time. Here I accomplished this task by reciting the Hanuman Chalisa till I held the brick in my hand ,and was able to complete the brick lifting competetion and turn winner in the process. Both the above may seem childish and some may argue that Gods name was used for small purposes, but does not matter, dont we say pranams to our mother and idols of God and have dahi-shakkar from our mothers hands whenever we used to attend school exams ? This is just to accentuate that Gods name, when taken even for a limited time and for small purposes too, does show its effect. Just that faith should be there, and cause should be worthy. regards, Bhaskar.
