Respected Shri. Richard ji,

Thank you very much for your mail. Sorry for late reply. I have made some interesting observations on different types of sinistral varieties of Turbinella. I am also going to publish a new species under the genus Turbinella. I will definitely send you my research details when published. It may take some time.

I am aware of the personal attacks made on me earlier on this forum under a fake ID. However, I am not worried. The attack was made by 'somebody' in the trade who has double standards. I am in the profession of a research scientist for the last more than 30 years. I have thoroughly studied different types of Rudraksha botanically. I have posted my personal opinions on Rudraksha based on scientific facts on different forums. I do not know why somebody should get disturbed on it. I purchase my beads from Mr. Mukunda Khatiwada of 'Neparudraksha' who is a genuine Rudraksha dealer from Nepal. Shri.Mukunda is also a supplier to many Rudraksha websites in India.

I too do business to some extent. However, I am always keen to talk about scientific facts whether it is about Rudraksha or Valampuri. Being natural, there is much morphological variation in both of these 'Sacred Objects'. Whether somebody likes it or not ? Whether it suits or not for somebody's business or even for my business ? I do not bother. I do business but I do not make high claims. Many rudraksha websites add a window 'Disclaimer' in their websites. Though, regularly I wear Rudraksha, every day I have to take a tablet to control my BP and marine fish thrice a week in my diet to keep my heart and arteries healthy. Finally, everybody has his own opinion and belief. It takes time, however, facts are proved one day or the other. In future, I will continue to write on this forum about my little knowledge in the field of Rudraksha and Valampuri.

Thanking you and with personal regards,

Chandrashekhar Phadke

I was mad only to see real Valampuri eight years before. I have now good master collection with me. I am always positive to discuss my experience in characterisation of types of Valampuries. It is a learning process for me also.

Dear Chandrashekar,

Namaste!!! It sounds funny for a person to say, "I'm not guru", and

then go on to list "I did my M.Sc., Ph.D. from the Poona University,

India (1975 and 1982) in the field of Entomogenous Fungi (Insect

killing fungi as biocontrol agents). I did my post doctoral research

at Wye College, Wye, Near Ashford, Kent, TN 25 5AH, England in 1991

and 1994 on the British Council Fellowship." ---That sounds like a

guru to me.

But you must be aware that there are people who have spoken and

written against you and accuse you of being a phony. On the wall of my

showroom are all my GIA Diplomas. I would expect the same of other

qualified people.

Personally I believe you, and appreciate your input. I look forward to

your research paper on Valampuri.

Best rgds,

Richard

Best wishes,

Richard
