Bagalamukhi / A word of caution

Dear All,

I am not an expert in Tantra, not even an amateur. If

there is anything wrong in what I am stating below, I

am sure that there are competent masters in this group

who can correct me.

The sadhana of dieties like Chinnamasta, Tripura

Bhiravi, Dhumavati, and Bagalamukhi are not commonly

practiced because of the intricacies involved in the

actual rituals and the lack of competent masters who

can cut through the twilight language in which the

rituals are mantioned in Tantra.

Eg: Chinnamasta Mantra & Bala Tripura Sundari mantra

has "a Kilaka" (been nailed down by the godess).

Unless the person chants the mantra for removing the

nails tying down the mantra as prescribed even after

chanting a million times the results of chanting wont

be achieved. (details may be found in Mantra Mahodadhi

of Mahindhara).

Also unlike benevolenet forms of the godess like

Kamala, Lakshmi or even Durga, mistakes in Sadhana may

not be easily forgiven by the Aatugra (Terrifying)

form of Mahavidyas. So one may take up the sadhana

only if one is sure that you can complete it without

getting distracted and making mistakes. Some say if

you approach the godess with the innocence of a litle

child she will guide you through out the sadhana

herself. But I am not sure howmany will be able to do

that.

GOOD lUCK

Nikhil
