Guest guest
Many years ago, an astrological project was created that I read about. It was called the HAMILTON PROJECT. It was about testing the reach of astrology based on blind data. It was carried out in the realm of western astrology only. It involved revealing just the birth data -- not even events to rectify the birthdata (horrors! Jyotishis would say!!). It kind of vanished -- no matter how hard I tried to poke and peek what the outcome was about -- but I was the outsider, alas! Such 'experiments' that we all or most of us, anyway, would carry out cannot be undertaken in hostile environments even when ONE camp is involved. And yet, unless that comes about, we all will never be certain, dare I say, and until that happens, we will just keep doing our puny target practice at individuals as they come and go, rather than our real target of uncertainty!! When I read Eysenck and Nias' book: Astrology: Science or Superstition, I wrote to Professon Eysenck protesting his non- inclusion of jyotish and sidereal perspective and voiced some question about the 10th house study quoted in his book. His answer was very matter-of-fact. He said, that he approached some of the prevailing jyotish astrologers for *data* and he never heard back, unfortunately! Their book, even if a bit one-sided is worth reading! Unless someone recommends a more recent article, review, book of merit -- always possible. Claims have always been forthcoming, but sadly no data to corroborate same! Take it whatever way you erudite readership may choose to ...!
