St. Mary's School in Panvel, Maharashtra is propagating Christianity

and inflicting repeated injustice on Hindu students in the name of

imparting education. During the ongoing Ganesh Festival celebrations,

when all schools in the vicinity of Panvel had declared holidays, St.

Mary's School conducted exams, let alone giving holidays. After

receiving complaints from several parents troubled due to such anti-

Hindu incidents, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) stormed St. Mary's

school. The school declared a holiday on 6th September, 06 for Anant

Chaturdashi.

See pictures and read details of like arguments and severe harassment

of students.

This is happenning in most missionary schools at least in Bombay I

know of. A girls convent school if they put mahendis on their hands

by mistake are hit by the ruler very badly. Bibles are being

distributed to students of these schools. Apart from mandatory

prayers in such schools even the students have to recite prayers

of......... Mostly the monitors of classes in these schools

are from their own reli........ At times of competetions though

all participate, yet mostly the winners come from their own

fold. There is lot of abuse too rampant in these school, fear

of reprisal on the child does not allow the child to complain.

Plus so many other points, but not proper platform for this.

Unfortunately due to lack of not many good schools not being

opened by big people,we have to put our children in these schools,

as no better alternatives, Here choice is not available hence we have

to admit the child here. Individual upbringing in own family

will not allow the childs mind to be clouded by other religions being

propogated in these schools , but in todays busy life

where both parents are occupied, this is certainly going to create

problem later on. The discipline though, and English language

learning (Alongwith bad words), is definitely good in these schools,

but unfortunately, in the name of secularism, everything is going on

under the eyes of Government apart from getting funds to

the schools from treasuries, in many cases. The PTA is just a farce

in these schools with actually no single advice or suggestion

is taken by the school authorities from the Association members. I

have remained member in 2 schools, in one I was elected, and in the

other I was invited to become one, but unfortunately even after

voicing my protests over certain matters, the conversation too

was removed from the minutes later on.

regards,

Bhaskar.

Dear,

Some problem lies with us Indians too. Lack of unity. Lack of

organised protests, Proper representation. Right buttons being

pressed.

I had visited a good restaurant some time back by name of Copper

Chimney in Bombay. For dinner. For some time water did not come.

When I reminded I got the water. In good places taking time to get

everything is considered as good, it seems. Anyway I noticed

after half an hour while we were waiting for dinner to be served,a

Chinese (OR Japanese I dont know, they look alike to me )

delegation arrived and took to the centre table, You may not like

this, but almost all waiters rushed to that table of 20 ,

and sorrounded it. Not a single one was standing near our table to be

reminded to hurry. As is my nature then , I took them proper. But You

see Indians running restauarnts, Indian food being served,

Indian waiters working, Indian cooks too ,Indian money and tips also

received by the managment, but as soon as foreigners arrive, they

seem to be more enticing to most of us Indians and more enchanting

too.

Schools run by missionaries are having no qualms on keeping school

open on Janmashtami or Ramnavami and all such days, except Christmas

and new year. This is the maherbani of the rulers of our country who

have pampered them.

I know of a famous International College of French who also takes

Indian rupees as fees from its students , has Indian students to keep

its college running, but has shame in keeping its institution closed

on Ganesh Chaturthi., in Maharasthra when all was closed.

There is lot of introspection to be done, areas identified,

people to be pooled, ideas to be exchanged, plans to be chalked out,

and remedial measures tobe implemented.,to counter these

regards,

Bhaskar.
