Guest guest
Dear Wendy, Very enlightening words indeed... Truely, Jyotish indicates our destiny. I believe in that. Then, some doubts rise in my mind... Like, what is free will? I have read somewhere that the thoughts that get generated in our mind are also because of the 'graha's. I am not sure if this is true. I am seeking your opinion. If so, is there any meaning for 'free will'? Secondly, why people spend so much time in seeking remedies for the problems they understand through Jyotish? will it really change one's destiny? Or does it only give some mental satisfaction as - 'I have done something to fix my problem'? Or these remedies help us to calm our mind and bring in clarity to accept the reality? Will the problem really go away or is it just a perception? It would be great if you could thow some light on my doubts. Guest guest
Dear Krishna, //Truely, Jyotish indicates our destiny. I believe in that. Then, some doubts rise in my mind... Like, what is free will? I have read somewhere that the thoughts that get generated in our mind are also because of the 'graha's. I am not sure if this is true. I am seeking your opinion. If so, is there any meaning for 'free will'?// I think this was summed up rather profoundly in an interview given by Maharishi a few years ago. He was interviewed by a French journalist, who asked: 'Maharishi, how does the world look in the highest state of consciousness?' Maharishi said: 'Then you see that everything is exactly as it should be'. The journalist, not realising the depth of this expression, asked: 'But why then, are you working so hard to improve the situation?' Whereupon Maharishi smilingly answered: 'Because that is exactly as it should be'. //Secondly, why people spend so much time in seeking remedies for the problems they understand through Jyotish? will it really change one's destiny?// Those seeking/obtaining remedies are also fulfilling their destiny...this would not happen otherwise. //Will the problem really go away or is it just a perception?// Everything is just a perception, is it not? It rises in the mind...and, what rises in the mind is governed by the grahas. We can see this unfold through the dasa system... Guest guest
Dear Wnedy, That means... we are just playing our small part as dictated in the grand script written...nothing more or nothing less... In software terms... a software object defined by the programmer has set of properties, a well defined state and a set of responses. It responds to the external messages (if understood) through its predefined response system and in the processes its state or properties may or may not chage... I don't see much difference between the objects in this universe and the software objects that we create in a program :-) Regards, Krishna --- Wendy Vasicek <jyotish (AT) optusnet (DOT) com.au> wrote: > Dear Krishna, > > //Truely, Jyotish indicates our destiny. Guest guest
Dear Krishna, This is probably a good analysis, but, unlike a computer, we're able to access, to know, to identify with (to realise) the script creator... none other than our 'Self' :-) Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com jyotish-vidya __ - "Krishnamurthy Seetharama" <krishna_1998 > <jyotish-vidya> Friday, September 08, 2006 4:46 PM Re: Purpose of Jyotish Dear Wnedy, That means... we are just playing our small part as dictated in the grand script written...nothing more or nothing less... Guest guest
Dear Wendy, //but, unlike a computer, we're able to access, to know, to identify with (to realise) the script creator... none other than our 'Self'// True. But it is still a predefined set of responses. Some are more evolved and some are less evolved - a difference in 'state'. Even computers with biometric capabilities can identify the owner, recognize his voice etc. Soon they might be able to understand the emotions of their owner and identify with him/her! But, I agree that computers are less evolved than the humans as they have been created by humans. As humans are pretty close to their Creator and not as good as the creator himself. Guest guest
Dear Krishna, //But, I agree that computers are less evolved than the humans// Goodness me, Krishna, there can be no comparison on that level...a computer is a man-made machine! How can you even say a computer is just less evolved than a human. A computer has no breath of life, no soul...there is absolutely no comparison on that level... Guest guest
dear Wendy, I was only trying to make a point that a 'creation' is always a few steps behind its 'creator'. And in that sense I compared computers and and human beings. That is all :-) Regards, Krishna --- Wendy Vasicek <jyotish (AT) optusnet (DOT) com.au> wrote: > Dear Krishna, > > //But, I agree that computers are less evolved than the > humans// > > Goodness me, Krishna, there can be no comparison on that > level...a computer > is a man-made machine!
