A very humble request to S/Shri Pt. Arjun Ji & Pt Bhaskar Ji

For the general guidance of novice members, like me, kindly advise which Mantra we can recite during the Grahana so that the members can derive general benefit by reciting the same.

Dear Narinderkumarji,

 

To each his own.

Though all are One.

But some like Shiva,some Like Rama,some Krishna.

 

Any mantra you have been given by your Guru.

Or which you like repeating can be recited during grahana.

 

Normally, I may do any of the following mantras.

"Shri Krishna Sharnamama" (ashtakshar or 8 names of God)

"Om Namo Bhagvate Vasudevaya" (12 akshar Dvadash names of God)

 

Or Mahamantra

"Hare Rama Hare Ram

Rama Rama Hare Hare

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna

Krishna Krishna Hare Hare" (This is shodash akshars or 16 akshar)

 

"Om Namah Shivaye "

 

etcetra.

 

Do not bother about which names to take.

But main Focus should be on remembering God, by either

doing Japa, or Dhyan, or Japa sahit dhyan,

or just meditation.

 

Normally some people after the meditation or Japa has ended,

offer the phala (results) of their Japa to their Pitras (ancestors),

which even I normally do. That way my whole family including the dead

ones too get the benefit. Since the diseased do not have body to

do Japa themselves and their time moves very slowly in space , when

we offer them our phala of Japa, they get sadgati or appreciation to

their current status, which automatically brings blessings both from

God (through Nature) and ancestors directly., so ultimately

you dont give anything, but get thousand folds in return.

dear friends

 

during the grahana period, if moon is not strong in your chart or if

moon is placed in an inauspicious or devoid of strength, you may

recite the moon mantra which is as follows:

 

OM SHRAAM SHREEM SHRAUM SAHA CHANDRAYA NAMAHA

 

for correct pronounciation of the mantra, you may speak to your

guruji and get initiated for this mantra with correct pronounciation

so that you would get the desired results.
