Ammachi, please guide and bless us as we open our

hearts to the teaching of the Sri Guru Gita. Divine

Mother, stand with us, as we grow in our Selves and as

we continue to open our hearts and our minds to your

Love and Light. Amma, show us how to share your

inspiration and your Love for us with the World.

We dedicate our study today to Peace on this Earth,

and to healing the hearts of humankind.

 

Guru Gita Study Session 8

 

Verse 33. The Lord Said:

 

Salutations to the Guru who is Shiva, the first cause

of the universe, the bridge to cross the ocean of

worldliness, the source of all knowledge.

 

Verse 34.

 

Salutations to the Guru, who with the collyrium stick

of knowledge, opens the eyes of one who is blinded by

the darkness of ignorance.

 

Verse 35.

 

Thou art my father, thou art my mother, thou art my

brother, thou art my God. Salutations to thee, O Guru,

the imparter of true knowledge in this world.

 

Verse 36.

 

Salutations to the Guru whose existence causes the

world to exist, whose light (of knowledge) makes it

perceptible, whose bliss makes possible all individual

experiences of joy.

 

Verse 37.

 

Salutations to the Guru whose existence makes this

world real. He is the sun whose light illuminates it.

Her love makes daughters and sons lovable.
