Guest guest
Om Amriteswari Namah Ammachi, please guide and bless us as we open our hearts to the teaching of the Sri Guru Gita. Divine Mother, stand with us, as we grow in our Selves and as we continue to open our hearts and our minds to your Love and Light. Amma, show us how to share your inspiration and your Love for us with the World. We dedicate our study today to Peace on this Earth, and to healing the hearts of humankind. Guru Gita Study Session 6 Verse 23. The Lord Said: The first syllable 'Gu' means darkness; the second, 'Ru', light. The Guru is doubtlessly Brahma who dispels all darkness. Verse 24. The first syllable 'Gu' is suggestive of attributes such as Maya and the second, 'Ru' of the Supreme Absolute who is free from the illusion of Maya. ('Gu' represents the lower manifested world while 'Ru' , the Supreme Absolute, the Unmanifest.) Verse 25. The lotus feet of the Guru are the highest object, difficult even for gods to find. The Gandharvas called Haha and Huhu, worship them devotedly. Verse 26. This is the unshaken faith of the wise; there is nothing higher than the Guru. The aspirant should offer to the Guru seats, beds, clothes, ornaments, mounts and vehicles. Verse 27. Which would please Her. One should dedicate one's entire life to the Guru's service. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Om Lokah samastah sukino bhavantu Lokah samastah sukino bhavantu Lokah samastah sukino bhavantu Om santih, santih, santih Om sri gurubhyo namah hari om ~Om, may all beings in all the worlds be happy.
