Guest guest
dear friends all members may take out some time to do meditation of their ishta devata mantras during the chandra grahan on 7th september as it is believed that chanting of a mantra during the grahan time gets thousand times more results than done in ordinary time. those staying abroad may refer the local panchang to know the exact timing on 7th. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun
Guest guest
Shri Panditji, Pranams, Thanks for reminding to do this, so that we can gear ourselves for the same. At the same time I had always this curiosity that what about the places in India where the grahan is not visible, are they supposed to do the mantras. I think no. But I need confirmation from someone knowledgabvle thats why this query to you. Normally we see localised timings and sit on a mat till the grahana is over and neither touch anything, just do japa, etc, and once it is over come back only after a bath. And follow the local timings wherever we may be. But as I said if no grahama is seen locally but of course garahan is there in the sky, then should we do mantras and will they have the good effects as we know them to have during this time ? I am not talking of this particular garahan but for always. affectionately, Bhaskar. , "panditarjun2004" <panditarjun2004 wrote: > > dear friends > > all members may take out some time to do meditation of their ishta > devata mantras during the chandra grahan on 7th september as it is > believed that chanting of a mantra during the grahan time gets > thousand times more results than done in ordinary time. those staying > abroad may refer the local panchang to know the exact timing on 7th. > > with best wishes and blessings > pandit arjun >

Guest guest
dear bhaskar ji as mentioned in rigveda, sun never rises or sets and it is only we on a particular portion of the earth, due to its rotation are not able to see the sun. similarly when the grahan happens, some areas see it fully, some areas see it partially (due to rotation of earth) and some areas do not see it at all as the grahan is over by the time the see the sun. however, affect or impact is felt all over the earth during that time and the areas seeing the grahan clearly have more affect. it is believed that a mantra recited during the grahan period gets thousand times more results. any mantra can be recited by the native for their ishta devatas. we use this best period for doing distance healing. scientifically, during the grahan period, the air, food and water gets contaminated and hence people are advised to stay fast for the entire grahan period. ALL ANIMALS AND BIRDS DO NOT EAT OR DRINK DURING THE GRAHAN PERIOD. it is only the unintelligent humans who need to be reminded of the timings, days and dates and also to be set some mobile phone or computer or clock alarms to remind these timings which all animals and birds grasp instantly with ease mainly because their senses work in synchrony with nature whereas humans have become slaves to their sensory organs so much so that their sensory organs stop functioning most of the time. any person exposed directly to the grahan gets their eyes spoiled. pregnant women are not advised to expose to grahan as it will spoil the baby in the womb. if a couple mate during the grahan period and a baby is born out of that, the resulting child would surely have congenital problems, mostly with cut lips, noses, ears or other cut marks. to avoid contamination of food and water, darbha grass (kusa ghas in hindi) is placed on the containers and vessels in the kitchen carrying food and water so that they do not get contaminated. all chandra grahans occurr on poornima days and all surya grahans occurr on amavasya days. may all members use this grahan time to please their gods and abstain from eating and drinking thereby saving their health. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun , "Bhaskar" <bhaskar_jyotish wrote: > > Shri Panditji, > Pranams, > > Thanks for reminding to do this, so that we can gear > ourselves for the same. > At the same time I had always this curiosity that what about > the places in India where the grahan is not visible, are > they supposed to do the mantras.
