Guest guest
Prashantji, What you say is entirely true. The gap would certainly remain and the polution level too would increase with increase in the consumption of fuel whether mineral or bio. Ecofriendly systems are the only answer but by the time viable solutions are found irreversible damage would already have been done to the environment. Warning about global warming is real. For the first time ever in recorded history Assam has many districts suffering from drought!!!! and crop destroyed for lack of rainfall. These very areas till last year suffered from floods year after year. We are truly affected by everything happening anywhere in the world. The affect may take some time to reach us. Guest guest
dear shri prashant, In one of the mail u have criticised the quality of water which we consume day in and day out and also u have added that it is the left parties which are having an anti US bashing and there attack on coke or pepsi reg pesticide level is purely an attack against USA. I recd a mail recently and I was shocked to note that in Stockholm about 140 countries have met and analysed the availability of water and they found that in one year Coke alone consumes 230billion litres of water and to manufacture one litre of coke they require 4ltrs of pure water and a ref to India was made and they have said both coke and pepsi pay a pittance to the local bodies in India at the rate of Rs.30/ for 1000ltrs of water drawn. the analysts feel that these two giants are going to lead to an acute water shortage after 50yrs and the war will be for water and not for oil. we should be thankful at least there is one political party to talk against the atrocious usage of water to which millions of Indians arent getting it for the minimal usage. When there is a genuine attack against such exploitation of natural resources we should not condemn whether it comes from a political party or a NGO. this is my observation. k.gopu
