Guest guest
Hi Ginie! Greetings! I have experienced many situations like you before, except for whatever conflicts you are/may be facing with your spouse (I am still single). >From my experience, I in the past even thought of taking revenge against all those whom I have been with or helped, because they have betrayed or fooled me like anything. I lost many good friends due to influences of bad friends. You will not believe, the one who hurt me the most in my life is the one I truly accepted as my BEST and TRUE friend. more than anyone/anything. In fact, I feel so shamed to say that I even ignored my prayers, culture and my parents just for that ONE person, as I was always trying to satisfy that ONE person. I totally lost everything after 2.5 years of friendship - my name, my fame, my respect and all I got was humiliated!!!! That is when I began the process of self-realization. I struggled almost 6 months understanding myself and my role in this society. I realized all my negative traits/character. I realized I have committed many sins realizing/unrealizing. One of the biggest sins I committed was ignorance. Ignoring other important aspects of life merely for a benefit of ONE person (FRIENDSHIP), to whom I have UTMOST trust was something I truly regreted. The entire process of self-realization ONLY came into me once I resumed seeking God's help. Lord Ganesha has been my ishta devata since the very beginning. I went back to him, and asked him to change me for the better and forgive me if I have really done something wrong. He did! He truly did. Ever since I resumed my prayers, I began to realize myself completely. I got back my old good friends, my family, my fame, name, a reputable position in my company, etc. Most importantly, I got back God's Love. I truly believe the BEST FRIEND in this world is GOD. He is our father (Just like your dad), He is our mother (Just like your mum), He is your boss/teacher/guru (Just like your employer/guru/teacher), He is your friend, He is your philosopher, guide, and everything. He is always there to create and remove obstacles in your life. Why he creates obstacles? He wants us to experience GOOD challenges in life to strenghten ourselves for the better. It is through obstacles we shape and reshape our lives to be a better person everyday! Thus, whatever you are facing today or recently are merely obstacles to help you realize yourself and make you a better person. Just follow the following principles, and it makes your life a worthy one to live! - Dont compare. Comparison creates jealousy, envy, frustration. If you need, you may compete in a positive way to succeed! Competition is good, but only good if it follows the path of dharma. - Love yourself and those who love you wholeheartedly. True love and affection will never break. If it does, it is NOT TRUE LOVE (Love of any kind) - Believe in God. Prayers are always answered if they are sincere. - Faith in your religion as it teaches or guides you the path of dharma/righteousness. Even if you are a freethinker/atheist good deeds and path are inevitable - Respect the thoughts of others as all thoughts are right/correct in their perspective. Dont try to change the world or others as this is not possible. Only change yourself to adapt to the environment. You will see the difference. Think of a chameleon. It changes color to adapt to different environment so it doesnt get preyed! - Lastly, practice simplicity. Take or Seek what you NEED instead of what you want. Control your desires, it will lead you to a path which is fulfilled with abundance joy and happiness. Materialism should be avoided Ginie, I am in no way trying to be a philosopher here or a dictator. I am merely sharing with you what I did to change my life to be a better person. I truly believe realizing yourself will really help you! Sorry for the long one! Just my 2 cents
