happy to see you back after an year.

the best way to deal people like suryaji is to ignore them instead

of criticising them.

as regards your confusions from jaimini, i too dont follow jaimini

but at the same time dont criticise jaimini followers either.

unfortunately astrology has become such a tool that you can find the

culprit for any native's problem in the form of a planet by applying

and changing various ayanamshas, dasa systems, rasi drishtis,

jaimini principles, gochara etc. astrology is not such a laughing

stock that an yogakaraka planet as per one classic cannot be a

badhaka or rogakaraka planet as per another classic. of course

lalkitab principles are also in extreme contradiction to vedic but

it too has its own followers. i too studied lalkitab but do not

agree to some stern warnings of it like if you donate clothes or if

you provide drinking water you would have negative results. jyotish

is not above the vedas and puranas which have prescribed these

remedies and elaborated the results and rationale.

like doctors are giving so many choicest streams of curing like

allopathy, homeopathy, ayurveda, unani, naturopathy, accupuncture,

accupressure etc., astrologers too are giving various choicest

systems so that natives can keep hopping from one practitioner to

another. unfortunately this practice is prevailing more due to the

frustration of the suffering native who keeps on knocking the doors

of each and every astrologer till his problem is solved. this is

the reason why i speak myself a healer first and an astrologer

second as i focus more on solving the problems and less on analysis.

Dear Arjun,

I am happy that you remember. Pl drop the ji, as I donot want to be reminded of my advancing age.

I liked your doctor-patient anology, and your practical approach of reading by focussing on the problem at hand.

I have been tracking this subject for past 6 yrs though not very seriously. I am reserving this subject for serious study if I ever retire. I am hoping to build 2 projects when I find the time

1. Yoga finder- A web based tool that allows users to find the standard yogas in their charts, as well as submit new ones based on texts other than BPHS, and their own experience. This feature is present in softwares like PL, Digital Jyotish, Kala etc, and Goravani Das Software allows for building your custom yogas.

2. Analytic Engine based on Genetic programming to seek out undiscovered co-relations between events in ones life and the charts. I am hoping to get a colleague of mine interested in this subject because he has this engine working on other stuff like stock market data and profiling customers for corporations.
