Guest guest
One teaching of Amma's that has resonated with me, in particular, is that if it is someone else's karma to suffer, it is our dharma to help. And yet, often, people go about helping in a way that is, well...not that helpful. Here is a really interesting article on this topic: http://www.juliaingram.com/Common_Ground.html Blessings, Iswari
Guest guest
Great article, but I don't think the term New Age "Bullies" is accurate or applicable. The cliche's and beliefs are common to those in what I call Generic Spirituality (Metaphysics and New Age). It was helpful for me to go through those philosophies, but once tested they don't produce lasting results. I'm quick to renounce it, compared to the "first love" attitude some take towards all of their spiritual past. The list of cliche's is missing the one about "I CHOSE to incarnate" (Yeah, right). The Buddha quote at the end is ok, but if misapplied it can undermine Faith, as can any Vedanta/Jnaana Yoga stuff. Keeping flipping on that Light of Awareness: Burn Tamas!
