Guest guest
Dear Group, At long last I have the Astrodatabank software (31015 charts). Clicking on a name brings up the chart on PL2000...very easy to operate! Not sure what drew me to take a look at this particular chart but it's certainly interesting with 7 planets in 2nd house. Abdullah ll, King of Jordan 30 Jan 1962 (5.23am) Amman, Jordan Biography: Jordanian royal family, the Prince of Jordan and the eldest son of King Hussein and his second wife, Princess Muna, to whom he was married from 1961-72. His mother was the daughter of a British army officer. The powers of the monarchy passed from his dying father on 2/06/1999 after nearly a half century rule by Hussein; he took the oath of office the next day. He was crowned king on 2/06/1999, 4:09 EET. The government made every attempt to insure a smooth transition to the 37-year-old Abdullah, bestowing all royal authority, including the ability to mobilize the military, dismiss parliament and name Cabinet members. His first move as king was the designation of his 18-year-old half brother Hamzeh as crown prince. As a gentleman soldier, Abdullah was an accomplished marksman, a helicopter and jet-fighter pilot, a deep-sea scuba diver and an avid collector of antique weaponry. Since his marriage to Princess Rania, he has been a contented and private family man, the father of four-year-old Hussein and two-year-old Iman. A product of elite British and American schools, he took a yearlong course in international studies at Oxford and Georgetown before taking his role as Jordan's top counter terrorism specialist and troop leader. He built a reputation as the family peacemaker and a fierce protector of his father's interests. As a career military officer for 18 years, Abdullah has the army's allegiance as one of their own. In January 1999, Hussein named Abdullah as his successor, bypassing his brother Hassan, who had been groomed for the throne for 34 years. Hussein reportedly accused Hassan of overstepping his authority by trying to purge military officers and ambassadors. Abdullah lacks his dad's deep political and diplomatic experience, leaving some experts wondering if he will be able to negotiate the complex web of the Middle East. Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com _____________________
Guest guest
Dear Wendy, sorry for the delay. My son was down with chicken pox.............. i went thru king Abdullah's horoscope ..... All planets confined to two houses produces Yuga yoga which makes the native ostracised by society, heretic and drunken. Yuga yoga is a Nabhasa Yoga. All Nabhasa yogas operate right through out the life time of the native. Of course, the Dasa / Bhukthi lord will have their impact too. 6 planets in a house is supposed to produce a wanderer, a fighter and a man of good conduct. Chengiz Khan, the great Mogul Conqueror, had both Yuga Yoga and shadgraha Yoga (refer "Notable Horoscopes" by B.V.Raman), but there are crucial differences between the two. The Great Khan had 6 planets in 3rd house of courage with its Lord in exaltation and Moon the Lagna Lord in a quadrant(4th). Cancer represents the masses and placed in a kendra made Chengiz Khan a man of tremendous force. In contrast, we find King Abdullah has 6 planets in the 2nd house and the Moon positioned cuspally between 11th and 12th houses, close (2 to 3 deg away) from its point of deep debilitation. Moon is also the dispositor of Rahu. The significator of mind is considerably afflicted. The congregation of 6 planets in the 2nd house indicates great wealth. Lets see how the malefic and benefics are arraigned here. Venus the 6th and 11th Lord is in near exact combustion and therefore rendered weak. Notice the 11th significations suffer. Mercury the 7th and 10th lord is positioned cuspally(therefore weak) and rendered malefic by its Kendra ownership. Jupiter has debility cancelled by the two malefics Mars(exaltation) and Saturn(own house) and closely conjoint ketu, the incendiary planet, both are in dhanishta , a martian nakshartra. Sagitarius the lagna is the sign for will in action. The king is a man of action and his taste for the armed forces is explained by the influences on Jupiter. Mars is placed in its house of exaltation and is the 5th and 12th lord and conjoins Saturn the 2nd and 3rd lord. Saturn is combust but in own house which reduces the impact of combustion. But Saturn is further weakened by its debility in Navamsa. The key influences on the 2nd house are the lagna lord, Mars, Saturn and Sun which is the influence of the 1st, 4th, 5th and 9th lords in the 2nd house along with the 2nd Lord, producing a powerful Dhana Yoga. For Diplomacy we need an affliction free Saturn(dealing with masses and the impartial judge), Jupiter(law and a sense of balance) and a strong Mercury (communications). None of these are present in the kings horoscope. Over and above this the moon is weak and disposits Rahu. I don't think that the native can be the Statesman who can resolve the complex web of Middle East Politics. regards arun
Guest guest
Dear Arun, Thank you for the efforts you continue to make reading these charts. I'm sure members appreciate it as much as I do :-) A word, if I may, about the nabhasa yogas. Whether all planets including nodes occupy 3 signs (soola yoga) or yuga yoga ( 2 signs without nodes) is present, the inference that the native will be bereft (devoid) of wealth certainly doesn't apply in this instance as the King, and indeed the royal family per se, have vast resources of wealth. Obviously, as you too have pointed out, when considering the nabhasa (or any) yoga, the bhavas involved are an important consideration. Hopefully I can look more at this chart soon :-) Best Wishes, Mrs. Wendy http://JyotishVidya.com _____________________ - "arun" <savitarcyber (AT) (DOT) co.uk> <jyotish-vidya> Monday, September 04, 2006 1:40 AM Re: King Abdullah of Jordan Dear Wendy, sorry for the delay.
