Guest guest
In Indian medicine a support food is used to improve the efficacy of medicine which is called anubana, suppose a physician may tell to take a choorna with milk or a sindhora with honey. anubana's are described in original texts. My assumption is a honey base enters through liver and circulatory system and a ghee base enters through lymphatic system. In lehiya honey ,sugar, ghee, some times milk also already added and you can take it direct either with milk or with water. In my view medicine is made more acceptable to the system by these methods. Castor oil is cold in nature hingu thrigna is better senna is anti fungal it may finish Candida in the intestine more beneficial. purified croton is having a wider range of antibiotic nature finishes all unwanted organisms in the intestine and in the system. experienced physicians prefer croton as their choice of laxative. Basically how a churna, vati and leham (rasayana) differs in medication. e.g., suppose somebody is prescribed with Thaleesapatradi leham and instead they start with Thaleesapatradi churna/vati/rasa how it matters on the methodology of the treatment is concerned. 2. Is there any sources where one can access for detailed information on medicines preparations as per Ayurvedic classicals like "Astanga Hrudayam" etc.. 3. How one layman can understand which type of laxatives would help among many. Like Castroil based, Senna based etc. These are just my curiocity questions and not intended for any prescriptions.
