This is in response to some questions:

Concerning what is best for one( being single or in a

relationship ), best to ask Amma. Many devotees do.

In my case, after a few years with Amma, my 30 year sadhana of being

single and thinking I was basically a monk( which was not a problem

for me ) ended in a relationship ~ an unexpected blessing from Amma.

While a "monk," twenty years was devoted to my parents for the last

years of their lives. This was one of my best spiritual investments.

But single or in a relationship, all of life is a challenge before

Awakening and giving without expecting and sacrificing( the "me" )

is what Amma recommends, I believe.

I am not saying this is easy but we either believe what Amma says

and try and try to live it or we don't. Spiritual practices( like

meditation, jappa, devotion, etc ) are essential but not sufficient(

my 2c ). One has to study and contemplate Amma's teachings, do

inquiry and try to live spiritual principles as best we understand

them.

Amma Bless,

amarnath
