Feeling Uncomfortable

Don't see it as "bad omen" since it was big snake and fast moving.

Chances are, you wouldn't have been able to hit the snake's head as

it was fast. No, you would not have killed the snake. Snakes or

serpents are indications of Shiva's Darshan on your journey.

Lord Shiva can sometimes appear in Many Forms such as a chandala or

black dog following someone.

Example: Shankaracharya was once bathing is a river when a chandala

was in same river and splashed some water over Shankaracharya

(Brahmin) who said something like "Oh chandala, be careful where you

splash". The reply given to Shankaracharya by the "chandala" (who

was Lord Shiva in disguise) inspired Shankaracharya to go into

meditation for many years and later emerged to found the 10

Classical Orders of India.

Killing snakes and cows are not good of course. But if they are

deadly poisonous snakes in villages where the people had no choice,

they just had to do it and be prepared to accept the consequences.

If its a pure, genuine accident, the person who mistakenly killed a

snake will not be subject to karmic retribution.

Snakes or serpents are indicative also, of Kundalini.

Go to your altar and pray to Lord Shiva, state exactly what

happened. Then lay your mind at peace. Shiva is forgiving. You will

get an auspicious sign sooner or later.

Ommmmmm
