Guest guest
Guru, sorry to hear about pain from herniated disk. Always be careful when doing strenuous exercises. Sometimes gentle exercises are more helpful and therapeutic as opposed to vigorous training or getting fit at gym. Depending on extent of the injury, this type of pain comes and goes. When its ok, its fine. When it comes back, it returns with a agonizing vengeance. Recurring pain maybe also depends on climatic/temperature changes, exposure of back to cold nights without blanket, rainy days, dampness in the home, etc. Many factors. You are lucky NOT to have DAILY RECURRING pains. Think positive about this becos there are many people with intolerable pain every single day of their lives from back injuries and have to take super- strong medications just to be able to function even a little bit. Count your blessings in this regard A GP doctor who knows a bit about orthopaedics will not be able to advice you on appropriate measures to take for reducing pain, other than give you painkillers and suggest things like physiotherapy, etc. If possible, try to see an Orthopaedic Specialist/Surgeon who's likely to order X-ray, MRI-scan and various other Scans if necessary. From scan results he will be able to establish the severity or lack of, about your back condition. Meanwhile, keep wearing your rudraksh and recite Mahamrityunjaya Mantra everyday minimum 108 times. Use the version that begins and ends with Gayatri : Om Hoom Joom Saha, Om Bhu Bhuvah Swaha, Om Triyambhakam Yajamahey, etc.etc............. May God relieve your pain.
