I have heard "India" in Vedic times extended into many terrorities that are now not considered part of Bharat. Does anyone know of a map of ancient Bharat? and was Present Day Tibet once part of Bharat?

im sure at some point in history, Tibet was heavily influeced politically and government wise by a group that ruled out of india, thus making them also part of the pan-bharat culture/kingdoms. However, bharat as a reference seems to be an ancient peoples' reference to a region of the world that practiced a similar culture, with similar beliefs, religions, rituals, practices, language, etc. It doesnt neccessaryily mean that it was one country. Few people in history have conquered the entire Indian subcontinent. In fact, the only two i can think of - the mauryans and the mughals. Im not sure about the mauryans, but i know, even the mughals didnt get into the deep south. Kerala, tamil nadu and sri lanka generally has remained free of foreign muslim rule.

actually i found a map of india with references taken from the mahabharata online. but this map was written entirely in sanskrit and i couldnt read it. now i dont remember the site i found it from. But apparantly it was a map of regions of india and kingdoms in india during the mahabharata war.
