Exercise alone will never get you results, assuming ofcourse that your exercise is sincere, regular and upto the level it needs to be. Another thing is for losing weight, you need to cut back on diet and also change it significantly (usually) to include more of a balance. So knowing that is very important Weight loss = Calories Out - Calories in That means you ahve to burn more than you consume. As such you have to also incorporate a good amount of running, swimming or similarly intense exercise to get to your goals, again of course first assumption is your diet is in moderation and very low on oils and fried food.
