DETAILS IN RESPECT OF STATES/UNION TERRITORIES Among the States and Union Territories, Delhi (Rs. 857.12 crores) reported the highest receipt of foreign contribution followed by Tamil Nadu (Rs 800.22 crores), Andhra Pradesh (Rs 684.20 crores), Karnataka (Rs 528.56 crores ) and Maharashtra (Rs 480.61 crores). The State / Union Territory wise details on receipt of foreign contribution, are shown in Annex - 1. The following 24 States / Union Territories received significant foreign contribution during the year. The details in respect of the top 25 districts in the country are shown at Annex-2. 3 DETAILS IN RESPECT OF DONOR COUNTRY The list of donor countries is headed by the USA (Rs 1,584.26 crores), followed by the Germany (Rs 757.13 crores), UK (Rs 676.14 crores), Italy (Rs 350.01 crores) and the Netherlands (Rs 304.04 crores). The details in respect of the major foreign donors are shown in Annex - 4 5 DETAILS IN RESPECT OF RECIPIENT ASSOCIATION Among the reporting associations, Rural Development Trust, Andhra Pradesh (Rs 125.99 crores) received the highest amount of foreign contribution, followed by World Vision of India, Tamil Nadu (Rs 103.74 crores), Foster Parents Plan International Inc., Delhi (Rs 56.80 crores), Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Andhra Pradesh (Rs 49.96 crores), and Action Aid, Karnataka (Rs 45.03 crores). During the year, 57 associations received foreign contribution in excess of Rs 10 crores, 83 associations between Rs 5 and Rs 10 crores, 818 associations between Rs 1 crore and Rs 5 crores, and the remaining 16,187 below Rs 1 crore. The details in respect of the major recipient associations are shown in Annex - 5. 6 PURPOSE-WISE DETAILS The highest amount was received for establishment expenses (Rs 639.31 crores), followed by Rural Development (Rs 494.64 crores), Construction and maintenance of school/college (Rs 221.63 crores), Welfare of Children (Rs 221.38 crores), and Awareness about AIDS/Treatment and rehabilitation of persons affected by AIDS. (Rs 181.58 crores) The purpose-wise details are shown in Annex - 6. The donor country purpose-wise details are shown in Annex - 7. 7.
