PVR: Moola Dasha Computation in J Hora

Dear Narasimha,

 

Pt. Sanjay Rath has put up an e-mail on the Sohamsa list about the

Moola Dasha in J Hora. He advises the taking of zero years in the

first cycle in the cited example. I have asked a query or two in

this regard, in the light of the instruction in his lesson on the

Moola Dasha at his web site where he says that the full Vimshottari

Dasha period of the Graha must be taken.

 

My queries to you are basic. In my experience, the default settings

in J Hora give excellent results as far as Moola dasha goes. Using

Lagna, Sun and Moon as starting points, and subtracting 12 years for

planets in Moolatrikona Rashis is giving very recognisable results

in my own chart at least. Which are the best options to use in your

view? In your book, you have not dealt with the Moola Dasha,except

very very briefly, so kindly explain.
