Guest guest
Bharatji Namaskar First of all thanks for such an insightful reply on KSY which is THE expected reflection from any learned and educated person like you. I personally believe that astrology is not a myth or mythology, i firmly believe because it was thought so by Sages, and it is a science or system of thought or what is called epistemology, system of knowledge. I also believe its not somebody's personal property becuase its open to each and everyone, at least who knows how to read the words or lines or sentences in any language. I read your post on KSY. You say you do not believe on partial KSY. But you believe in full KSY as i understand form what you wrote. As a client i can say that what I have also read that Rahu and Ketu in cardinal ( kendra) houses are yogkarka houses. I have KSY and Rahu period has been full of changes and i reached at the height what i just thought as a layman. I thinks its not always so inauspicious that the meaning we have assigned to these planets. One more interesting things i would like to tell and know that Rahu and Ketu has to be in 180 degree in a chart that does not apply to other grahas. That means planets will be either hemmed in or some will be out that is logically. Say if Ketu is in 1 then Rahu has to be in 7, that is the rule so in any case some planet will be in axis and in some cases some will be out of the axis. So what is so great about it? For me greatness is the nature of these two planets.. one, ketu inward drawing and the other Rahu is expanding. As a Hindu with fixed notion of life cycle it is obviously fearful and dreadful..... sorry i am not an expert but just my expriences with astrologers and my personal experiences at hind sight with my Rahu dasha....... i can explain that period.............. regards sunil y > wrote: Namaskaar All In April 2005, I had written the following as a reply to a query on the same topic (it is pasted below in blue): I do not know of a single reference to Kaal Sarp dosha in our ancient texts but I have found it working to full potential in life. Understand Kaal Sarp Yoga in this manner: Rahu-Ketu are the "dwaarpals" of Maya Shakti. When they bind all the effects of other grahas within them, they delay each and every want of the native. All desired objects and beings seem to move away. That which isn't desired comes easily to the native. Now, I also believe that Kaal Sarp Yoga is not a dosha. It is a spiritual yoga. It tells us that running after fulfillment of desires is like trying to drink water from a mirage. It will never satisfy you. Furthermore, Kaal Sarp Yoga also checks the activation of other evil doshas in the chart. Now, I also urge all astrologers to check and verify from their clients the following: 1. In KS Yoga, whenever the person having this yoga goes after something (other than Self-Knowledge), there are many obstacles to his/her path and to the extent, the goal seems to move away. All other goals, objects and things that they may not want, come to them easily (provided other yogas are there). Moreover, check the house in which Rahu is placed. That house significations will have a major say in that person's life. Remember, Rahu involves - it is the maya-jaal! A person will keep on going round and round without reaching satisfaction. With KSY, the native will be involved more so. He may let other desires down and might think this house to be all important. 2. I urge all astrologers not to give undue importance to a single yoga and scare the hell out of the native. 3. What Sri Gaurav has proved is that "Kaal Sarp Yoga" is not necessarily a dangerous thing. So he has proved that do not fear this Yoga. What he has not proved is - that it is not applicable. He has only mitigated the wrong meaning of it. This has been done beautifully before by Sri K. N. Rao too. 4. Statistics related to other yogas is also found in millions of horoscope. Like Gajakesari Yoga, etc... However, they are applicable and used by all astrologers. We should not reject a single yoga citing statistical reasons. This is my view. Others can have their own. 5. Let me cite a nice example: There is a Miss India who has KS Yoga. She became Miss India without any puja, etc. There is presence of other excellent yogas in her chart. Now, whenever she went to find work - she will either not get it (modelling, etc) OR will not be paid for it properly OR will receive much delayed payment. I shall ask her permission to share her data with the group. I had advised her to chant "Mahamritunjya Mantra for specified number. She, her brother and her mother, did this japa on their own. Two days after the Japa, she got a contract from a famous Swiss watch company. The joy on her face was amazing to watch. Besides this, she was having major trouble finding the right guy for marriage. Soon after the Japa, she found the right match and was married into a very decent family. Now she is blessed with a son too. There was no major dasha change in the 40 days of the Japa. 6. It is absolutely true, that some pundits are creating this Yoga in charts just to scare the natives. In a chart of a family friend's daughter, who wasn't gettting married, the pundit charged money for puja to mitigate KSY. She has no KSY. Furthermore, there is no such thing as a partial KSY. Atleast, I do not believe in it. In short, all I am saying is: Do not reject this yoga. Do not make assumptions about its applicability or inapplicability. Understand more about Rahu and Ketu. What are they? What do they do? What is their role in nature? Unless one is clear about all of these, it is fruitless to comment upon their Yoga. Researches like that of Sri Gaurav should continue but should be unassuming. Hope my words are taken in the right spirit.
