Identification of twins To. Gopal Goelji

I think that Varahamihiracharry in his Brihat Jataka under NISHIKA adyaya said “If the Sun occupies a quadruped sign and if other powerful planets occupy common signs, twins will be born covered with a common hood “.

“f lagna is in Dhanus, or falls in that amsa, if all the planets are powerful Sani and Budha, then predict many children at one birth”.

There may be similar and more apt methods said by other great Aacharryas for identifying the births of twins but are not able to be reproduced / recalled immediately.

But in the nativity of twins, Lagna and 11th house give indications about the elder one and Lagna and 3rd house give indication about younger one.

This method works very effectively.

According to my experience twins more often have lagna in dual signs as

well as a strong conncetion between the 1st, 3rd and 11th house either in

rasi or in drekkana. This is because most often twins have lagnas falling

into the same drekkana, so the two identicla drekkana charts should show

bothe the younger and elder twin brother or sister.
