Guest guest
In classical vedic astrology Jupiter is classified as an unfriendly lord for a Virgo ascendant; not so, as you rightly say, under SA, because Sagittarius, the moolatrikona sign for Jupiter, is not found on one of the dusthana houses: 6, 8, or 12. Nevertheless, even from the classical approach, unfriendly lords can act for good if they are well-placed by sign or house and are not causing major afflictions to the chart. Your Jupiter happens to be exalted in Cancer in the 11H of gains from the career, and Moon as the 11H lord is well-placed in the 1H of general success. What does affect the overall strength of your chart is Mercury debilitated in Pisces in the 7H of marriage and business relationships. Mercury is also a prime health significatior for you and represents the strength of the nervous system. You might consider strengthening Mercury through mantras, colors, or its gem (emerald) and do the same with your well-placed Venus (diamond) in the 5H of children and speculative gains. The closest aspect Jupiter makes is to your Sun in zero degrees of Pisces. This indicates weaknesses with the Sun as the significator of basic health and vitality and the less than ideal conditions related to marriage and relationships in general. The negative side of Jupiter is excesses, indulgences, expenses and major philosophical, spiritual or religious differences with others. This should be guarded against if possible. If or when your ascendant lord and Venus are strengthened, you should experience greater benefits when you come into your 16-year Jupiter dasha in November of this year. By strengthening these other planets, you create a more supportive climate. This is one astrologer's opinion and others are welcome to disagree. What I've tried to do is explain the different schools of thought with regard to friendly or unfriendly house lords and place them in the context of your birth chart.
