Guest guest
Dear Prafulla, Baskar, others Well i felt we must remember him and hos wirk, wisdom and vision for the subject and they ay he went about it as we were discussing how as astrologers we haveshared many quacks exploit us or our parents, friends, relatives etc. [this is comon to all fields] Ramam when he ran his AM did it against too many odds and never compromised in one of the magazines and in his book My Experiments with astrology he says who often the struggled to meet the daily expenditure, plus take care of the press and advts were far and few and he never took any ad from makers of ciggeretes, alcohol, hatcheries, and black ecconomy., prefered to suffer instread and in 2-3 isntrances he has had to close it for 3 mothns at a stretch for no revenue, yet such struggles have stodo him in good stead and his works have added more shine. well if ICAS WAS BORN earlier and by Govt support like ICMR, ICAR etc, sure he could have done a lot more to remove the black sheep in this filed with an official university degree at least some standard and respect will be there and employment in govt bodies of finance, agriculture, weather, defense etc could have come too. as earlier Maharajas did for public welfare used good astrologes. Guest guest
Shri Prashant Sahab, yes Sir, I too have read this book and felt and shared the pain (Mentally) while reading through his bad times. Recently here was talk of Govt.introducing Astrology as subject in University level at Bombay, but the uproar from secular minded and so called modernised was too much for the Govt.to continue embarking on this well thought project and ultimately the efforts died out. It did make me happy but, that this science was finally considered by the education law Makers to,at least consider, and other hand sadness was there too that we could not contribute to the actual implementation by voicing our protests against the disbelievers. But only people in high places have weight in their protests. At the same time at least start has been made, and I hope more of these we shall see in times to come, and hope that one day when this is fully implemented and astrologers well educated come out from these universities will be able to bring back the beliefs and wiseness and practical utility of this great science, to all, which has been lost in some recent centuries due to invasions, mixed cultures, and other .......... Last evening I happened to watch some news on one News Channel, that some westerners were very much into collecting data, information, and real photographs of people who were possessed and the truth that spirits do exist and its not fallacy but real, and they were posting this on their website for the non-belivers. Unfortunately I reached only the end of that news item and couldnot watch it full. But it was great consolation to me that there are people though in foreign countries dosent matter, butready to believe and prove too, while in our country they always show these items on news channels, and portray all this as make-believe, derangement of the mind, interview big doctors of the minds, who only say that these dont exist, it is all created etc.etc. The whole world if taken as kutumb family)would create happiness, boundaries would only lead to Yours and mines, and thanks to the advancement in communications the people living thousands of miles away are also accesible at the click of the mousebutton. affectionately, Bhaskar. , Prashant Kumar G B <gbp_kumar wrote: > > Dear Prafulla, Baskar, others > > Well i felt we must remember him and hos wirk, wisdom and vision for the subject and they ay he went about it as we were discussing how as astrologers we haveshared many quacks exploit us or our parents, friends, relatives etc. [this is comon to all fields] > Ramam when he ran his AM did it against too many odds and never compromised in one of the magazines and in his book My Experiments with astrology he says who often the struggled to meet the daily expenditure, plus take care of the press and advts were far and few and he never took any ad from makers of ciggeretes, alcohol, hatcheries, and black ecconomy., prefered to suffer instread and in 2-3 isntrances he has had to close it for 3 mothns at a stretch for no revenue, yet such struggles have stodo him in good stead and his works have added more shine. well if ICAS WAS BORN earlier and by Govt support like ICMR, ICAR etc, sure he could have done a lot more to remove the black sheep in this filed with an official university degree at least some standard and respect will be there and employment in govt bodies of finance, agriculture, weather, defense etc could have come too. as earlier Maharajas did for public welfare used good astrologes. > > > > Prafulla Gang <jyotish wrote: Dear Members > > Shri BV Raman had contributed to jyotish immensely, through his books and AM.
