Guest guest
Dear Members Shri BV Raman had contributed to jyotish immensely, through his books and AM. Each jyotish student has, at some stage of his learning, has used his books for learning and references. Amongst the jyotish books, his books has always been very popular. Very often, these were like first few books, through which one started his jyotish journey. regards / Prafulla Gang "Hard work never killed anybody", but why take the risk! > > gbp_kumar > Tue, 8 Aug 2006 00:26:52 -0700 (PDT) > > Rememering Dr. B V RAMAN Aug 8th his b'day > > Dear Readers, > > We are fortunate to learn, discuss this great humane science with so > many odds against all traditional, Hindu teachings, learning's that the > Nehru parivar and communists have made us feel ashamed or inferior to > even talk of it, where as every country has its own history and is proud > to project it as brightly as possible. > > But our history writers bigining from Nehrus's discovery of India lacks > self esteem, self respect too. the left parities have taken the cue from > there and do all to glorify the invaders and white washed their sins but > demonize native Hindu sins. > > from such a Background Dr B V RAMAM worked, projected Indian astrology > as a great science to the west and Indians, but a acknowledgment from > west was handy as all imported or patented by west even if India;s the > secular govts will jump and cry that west has stolen or robbed us, even > the same with brain drain. we have more good astro s/w from the West > than here. > > WITHOUT RAMA'S PIONEERING EFFORTS AND HIS HARDSHIPS WHICH MUST BE > STANDARD FOR US TO FOLLOW. > He never criticized fellow astrologers asked people to respect one > another as they cause is same, at least nothing in open forums > he also said to charge clients something that will not hurt them > giving, never demand or fleece. > predict in polished, and indicative ways not in certain ways we are not > gods. but interpreters to his writing. > and he allowed many to grow and the ICAS he started has done great > service with over 9k astro members in it and thousands who take the > exams and professionals par excellence, > > A GREAT MANS GREAT DREAMS ARE TAKING FRUIT, WE WILL CHERISH HIM FOR > WORKS HE LEFT BEHIND AND ONES HE WISHES OTHERS DO TOO. people like N R > rao did walk with him too and have made their own mark, god bless all > the greats., known, unknown and unsung ones. their work in giving hope, > solace to millions is somethign amazing to proud off. > > TODAY IS HIS B'DAY. he is a Manasik guru to many and I am happy to one > of his. > his HINDU PREDICTIVE ASTROLOGY is a master piece. Guest guest
Yes sir. He had that determination and vigour to meet the odds and work strictly in line with the ethical standards he set for himself. Unfortunately, this profession has fallen into unorganized sector; and is not adequately backed by educational institutions for government's "secular" model. regards / Prafulla Gang "Hard work never killed anybody", but why take the risk! > > gbp_kumar > Tue, 8 Aug 2006 02:45:21 -0700 (PDT) > > RE: Remebering Dr. B V RAMAN Aug 8th his b'day > > Dear Prafulla, Baskar, others > > Well i felt we must remember him and hos wirk, wisdom and vision for > the subject and they ay he went about it as we were discussing how as > astrologers we haveshared many quacks exploit us or our parents, > friends, relatives etc. [this is comon to all fields] > Ramam when he ran his AM did it against too many odds and never > compromised in one of the magazines and in his book My Experiments with > astrology he says who often the struggled to meet the daily expenditure, > plus take care of the press and advts were far and few and he never took > any ad from makers of ciggeretes, alcohol, hatcheries, and black > ecconomy., prefered to suffer instread and in 2-3 isntrances he has had > to close it for 3 mothns at a stretch for no revenue, yet such struggles > have stodo him in good stead and his works have added more shine. well > if ICAS WAS BORN earlier and by Govt support like ICMR, ICAR etc, sure > he could have done a lot more to remove the black sheep in this filed > with an official university degree at least some standard and respect > will be there and employment in govt bodies of finance, agriculture, > weather, defense etc could have come too. as earlier Maharajas did for > public welfare used good astrologes. > > > > Prafulla Gang <jyotish (AT) inbox (DOT) com> wrote: > Dear Members > > Shri BV Raman had contributed to jyotish immensely, through his books > and AM.
