to start taking but both are over a year old, unopened though.

I was wondering if someone who knows could tell me the shelf life of

such asavas and medicated ghees. I have heard with both that the

shelf life can be quite long and with the medicinal properties even

improving over time. Any knowledge on this?

Thanks,

Jay Aggarwal

hi,

I m just a student,ok?

asava and ghrita can be kept as long as they last.An aged vaidya I knew had 100 yrs old grita and it was hundred times more valuable. It is the same for asava also. But today it also depends on whether company made it properly or not.

See,drop few drops of each separately in fire,if there is any chit-chit sound than putrification has begun so don't consume it.

If not then they r okey as far as I can tell.

plz tell me the company's name in either case

good luck

kanika

As I have noticed, most ayurvedic preparations have three years self

life marked on the labels. If the label says "Best before" then the

shelf life can be longer.
