Guest guest
USA Today wrote a provocative article about milk. I think they were missing the Ayurvedic viewpoint in the article. The arguments over milk today seem to focus on the two extremes: 1. raw milk 2. commercial pasteurized, homogenized (often skim) milk. Neither represents the ideal type of milk. I responded with my own opinion at my blog, but I thought the members of this group might be able to add additional comments on this subject. In particular, I would like to find more information about whether the Ayurvedic recommendation for boiling milk could have anything to do with reducing xanthine oxidase. (Of course I know the standard response about improving digestion, but I'm looking for deeper scientific explanations.) Any opinions? My blog is here: http://blog.freeradicalfederation.com/ Longer links tend to get broken in these news groups, so I will post the link to the article on my blog and on my profile.
