Guest guest
Hi all, I love genuine freedom that dont thirst for others blood, so just for record my vote is also for keval. And I too have similar openion as manoj, avinash and viswanath, regarding other things in this moderator changing game. Our mother is the mother of all. Just by making someone who has a genuine doubt, to shutup, just because it is not the preference of some of us, if we force our will on others, with whatsoever reason we will selfishly find, we are building our karma to be in the other side one day. Only time will reveal this truth to us. Openness, love and kindness is that what our AMMA teaches us. If we focus on her alone, and dont interpret truth from the words for unrealised people, we will honour liberty of everyone to live in this forum and world peacefully without much rules. Here many of us, shouts about love on dailly basis, but when our ego, which we claim as for AMMAs sake, is hurt a bit, we tend to jump on others and call for their removal etc. How can love and so much rules co-exist ??? That means we love as long as we agree each other. We may claim a thousand times that we are not selfish, but if our tollerance is less, it is our own problem, we cant use AMMAs name for that. AMMA has clearly said : "Love to me due to selfishness !!!! AMMA can never tollerate it.. It will even burn AMMA too much"... See the state of current world. Everyone claims exclusiveness. Only my mother is angel, all others are devils, so the moment I hear anything else, I should not tollerate.. This simple foolishness will cost us yet another worldwar. It is just a matter of time. We may not be shouting this intollerance in specific terms, but most often we dont even know that we have this selfishness. Let us not burn our AMMA by being selfish using her name. I have seen, may a times AMMA trying to explain about this intollerance other semitic religions show in India. Infact she is very much worried about it (at least in her game play!!) Today we argue for 1000 rules in this forum, in the name of AMMA. (When I mean AMMA, I mean AMMA alone, no body around her, because body is not GOD, but AMMA is.) Tommorrow we will say that in this villiage we should have only people who aproves AMMA only.!!! The intollerance anywhere however subtle it might be is just a start, and we use realised souls such as JESUS, AMMA etc for this selfishness. See the state of christianity and Islam these days !!! Any other name is intollerable... yet they shout slogans such as secularism etc etc.. That is only for their own selfishness to convert as many as people without much rules. Rules are requied when one say only mine is right and nothing else should be permitted. Rules are not required when we accept that there can be many correct ways to same end. Calling for rules on such circumstances with what so ever reasons such as bhakti-orriention, preference etc is just another gimicks of our selfish mind to force others to our limited world. There are many silent listeners in this forum, and it is not the people who is active here alone, who breathes this air of this forum. Rules and Love dont go together, so let us use rules, only when questions are not with an attitude to listen, but just to attack, and the attacker seem to have a premediated agenda to slander someone. To such people rules do something good. Or else it just earns us some karma to be on the other side on some time. We can silence someone, but will the question of the person disapears if we silence him. He will become more skeptic, if he was sincere.. Avram is an example for this. Everyone knew that avram is crossing limit many times, but many knew that there is some sincerety in his questioning. He was frustrated because of his questions. If we cant help such a brother, why do we address each others as brothers, sister etc here. Just to show off !!!! The amount of support mails avram received, showed that there are many silent member also other than other members who makes the forum run, and many of those silent members are also open with more flexibility in preferences. Let not intollerable people try to hijack and showoff that they are the only true devotees, and rest all are part time devotees. AMMA is the one who knows the truth. If we have devotion to her, it is just because she gave it to us. If anyone has some doubts, just challenge AMMA about this in prayers when you go for her darsan. The lesson will follow for sure. But for that too, courage is required. Truth is not hiding anything. Act of love with selfish rules is selfishness and self-cheating. Compassion can rise only on those minds where unity is shinning, by the grace of divine mother. Other acts of compassion is just social compassion, an act to convert people to our own limited world. Poornamrita swami once told me : "Real bhakta never complaints". He was so much correct, but I am never such a bhakta.. I have too many complaints in my mind. But atleast I shout them only at my divine mother. Sorry if I hurted someone... But I had command to speak these. Brother surya do not punish me for writting these, I have nothing against you, but as the son of your same MOTHER, I was forced to convey what I felt as right, when I was asked to. -with prayers manesh

It'd be good to have more discussion of Amma's teachings, but I don't wonder why there is a diversity of sources quoted in the discussion of spiritual principles. Do Amma and the Swamis not refer to the scriptures and even tell stories from other traditions to convey their points? If it's a great rendering of a spiritual truth, I'm all for sharing it, regardless of its source. Very often, I find my inner experiences of learning in the guru relationship with Amma, through the circumstances she creates more valuable than her aphorisms -- although there are also times where her aphorisms encapsulate that learning, perfectly. Also, although Amma's words can sometimes bring clarity, it's sometimes difficult to tell if her guidance is general or specific to an particular audience or person asking a question. We've all heard examples of her giving completely contradictory advice to different people. That's not to say what she says is meaningless (far from it!), but that it may not necessarily resolve a dispute. Beyond that, I personally don't like it when I'm disagreeing with someone and they throw some verse at me, instead of a personal reply. It rubs me the wrong way and reminds me of the decontextualized proof-texting of evangelicals. Blessings, Iswari
