Guest guest
Time to delurk for a moment. Yes, I lurk, my life being what it is right now. But I must raise a point and then shuffle off into quiet again. Hypothesis: IF all are one (Parmatman as opposed to atman), then what does it matter which Guru is being discussed on this list? All are one, all are Amma, all are each of us collectively. (grinning widely) Now, having been brought up in the Western civilization, I understand the fear of 'cults', and the need to feel that one is superior. Has made the superior choice (ie, 'Amma is my Guru'). But is it a superior choice? Is one Guru better than another? Or are they different expressions of the same Oneness, as we all are? If they are all expressions of this Oneness, can one be superior to another? It is interesting that we are reluctant to accept the differences, as we strive to be different in the carbon-copy world. Amma has chosen each of us as her child, or we would not have found her. However, I find the viewpoints of other Gurus equally valid. It's an ice cream thing, people, and not eveyone likes spumoni. Perhaps, all this talk of eschewing anything not directly related to Amma is simply ego driven insecurity. We should trust in Amma, perhaps this is one of her infamous 'leelas'. Regarding Keval, I appreciate his willingness to moderate this list. It's one heavy task, and I do not envy him. However, I value his decision to keep this list open to, to not moderate/censor our discussions away when the do not directly relate to Amma, because in the end it ALL relates to Amma, and how we (her beloved children) interrelate with each other. Om Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu. May all beings find happines. (Just don't try to define it for everyone) Blessings, Mikki
