Guest guest
When I first met Amma, the two gods I was immediately drawn to were Ganesha and Kali. Ganesha because I associated the elephant with all things gentle and mighty, and Kali because she scared people like I used to do. So over the years, I have learned more about Ganesha and about Kali Ma. Kali to me is the purifier, with her as my ally, I have no fear, she represents to me the truth - undisputed and undisputable truth, and of course she rocks - I love the skulls because they remind me of how feeble my mind can be, especially when fueled with fear. Her image reminds me that my monkey mind is not in charge of anything. Her fierce images remind me that all is possible with love and courage. IMHO, Kali takes my anger away. That is my perception. Guest guest
Kali makes my anger go away. When I look at her pictures (I have many in my home) I am calmed. She makes the truth evident for me, and when the "truth is revealed, all the sorrows will be healed." Guest guest
Supriti, yes I also am calmed by images of Kali. When I am most upset by something either external or from within, often she is the only one who can calm me. I especially like the imsges where she stands on the calm Shiva who gazes at her magnificent strength and beauty, supporting her as she supports us. Jai Kali Ma!
