Hi Joanna,

Amma thinks Kali is just fine for householders.

She told me so herself:-).

Namah Shivayah,

I have Kali statues, photos and items that Amma's Kali murti in the ashram wore all

throughout my Amma shrine. Amma and Kali are the same entity.

Hrim Kali Mahakali Mata Amritanandamayi

Jai Jai Kali Ma!

Somewhere I read that Amma said the fierce form of Kali displayed in a house, can adversely affect the anger of a hosueholder. But, Amma & Kali are definitely the same.

"Adversely affect the anger" meaning make it go away or exacerbate it?

after my mother died ( long long time ago !when i was 16) I had totatlly no clue of Kali

or any other Hindu Gods for that matter , I was very upset and emotionaly distraught

I loved art classes in my school and once drew a picture of Kali ( not knowing even the

Goddess Herself ) years later ofcourse I realized that this was image of Kali sitting on

cemetary . After I always tried to avoid the image of Kali as it always reminded me the

tragic death of my biological mother , Ammachi for the first time this year kept on calling

me in my language " My Daughter " over and over each time I would see Her , previoius

years it was Ma , but this years She would say it many times in my language .

For some reason Kali image and my mothers death seemed to realy reapear this year , I

thought of putting Her image in Shrine but am a bit worried if some sad or even angry

feelings might reapear ? , hmmm

thank you for the input

in light , Joanna :)))
