I haven't seen "Darshan: The Embrace" yet either, in part due to some

leela, so I'm not confirming nor denying that speculation, Keval.

 

I am, however, testifying, witnessing, and High-Five Hallelujah-ing on the

inspiration in that video. Was just sitting here putting a few boxes of

books and music together for a relocation west, and thinking, hmmm, I really

should bring that DVD with me!

Vintage Scenes is my absolute favorite Amma video too. That, and the newer "She's Got

The Whole World In Her Hands" unexpected darshan video. That old footage from the

1982 video is amazing though....the shakti just comes right through the screen and fills

up the room. I think the older footage in the Darshan film was just culled from that

Vintage Scenes video.

 

On another note, I noticed at the last retreat that they are starting to convert most of the

videos to DVD. Looks like I am going to have to buy everything over in DVD format, since

the videos are already starting to break down quality-wise.
