Guest guest
Hi Stacy, I am also going to see Mother Meera in LA, with a whole van full of Amma devotees! I know others who are coming too. Anyone else on this list going to be there? Our darshan in Saturday night at 7pm. love, Prajna "Children, all of spirituality is contained in that one word: Awareness." - Amma
Guest guest
Prajna, So cool, my darshan is the same time. I will look for you. Here is the Mother Meera in America info for people who are interested. http://mmdarshanamerica.com/ I think she will be heading back to LA again in Oct for people who want to make a reservation. --- Prajna - Brianna <prajnaji > wrote: > Hi Stacy, > > I am also going to see Mother Meera in LA, with a > whole van full of Amma devotees! Her biography was one of the very first books I had ever read on any Indian saint/sage and started my journey with Divine Mother. I felt a mysterious pull by her as if I had been looking for Divine Mother. This occured about three years before I met Amma. I wrote her a letter with prayer requests which all came true sometime after. I would love to hear how it went, so please do share your experience having her darshan. I'm not sure if you're allowed to post it on here, so feel free to email it to me pretty please! Jai Amma! Stacy
Guest guest
I just want to respectfully say that I feel that it would not be appropriate for folks to discuss experiences with Mother Meera on this forum. Thanks! in Amma, Amalia
Guest guest
I would be curious to hear of Amma devotees' experiences with Mother Meera. People have often discussed other teachers on the "Free Speech Zone" list. So, perhaps if people would find discussion of Mother Meera upsetting over here, they could post on the other list? Namaskarams all! i trust and pray that the Divine Mother is blessing you all and protecting you all! as there is only ONE Divine Mother, Who manifests in Her many different forms, i personally would love to read of anyone's experiences with Mother Meera, either on this site, or if anyone would prefer to write to me in private. i feel that i have a strong connection with Meeramma, just as i have a very strong connection with Ammachi....in fact as i have probably said before on this forum, it was Meeramma Who first answered this child's cries out to the Divine Mother. When i would NOT have accepted Ammachi, because of Her "drill sergeant" nature with Her close devotees (as Linda Johnsen put it in Daughters of the Goddess)...and when i was NOT looking for a GURU, but rather was calling out for the Divine Mother to reveal Herself to me (as per Paramahansa Yogananda's directions in "How to Talk to God"), it was Meeramma Who answered my prayers, and revealed to me that Divine Mother does really hear the calls of Her children....then the next year, She passed me on to Her Sister Ammachi, because Ammachi really IS my GURU, and My Ishta Devata...and because i was now more ready for that whole scene...having done a lot more research and praying and meditating... in fact before ever going to see Ammachi, i had sat down in front of Meeramma's Photo, and meditated for a while, and prayed for a longer while, and looked lovingly into Her Wondrous eyes...and then i asked Her ...."Mother, should i go to see Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi?"... immediately Ammachi appeared behind my closed eyes, standing with a lovely smile, and blessing me!...so of course i had to go....but STILL i felt connected with Meeramma...(and still do, although somewhat differently since all was made clear with Ammachi...when She told me that She IS my Guru...and that we had been together before...) still i went home from the first year after meeting Amma, and i was torn between the two Ammas....i couldn't help but love Amma, and i couldn't help but love Meeramma too...and i felt very strongly that both had helped me a lot...but i felt a little like a traitor for going to see our Amma...even though Meeramma makes no claims to be ANYONE's GURU...in fact She insists that She is NOT a Guru for anyone...but that no matter what your faith or Guru might be, She will help you in your sadhana, and in developing your faith to a deeper level...She says that She will work with anyone in any religion... anyways, there i was in mental conflict over the whole thing...when a friend from work asked me if i had seen "The Little Buddha"...i said no...and he offered to drop it off one day...so one day i came home from a walk, to find that my friend had dropped off the video...and had left a cassette tape copy of some of Amma's earlier bhajans, with a picture of Her, on TOP of the video...so i thought..."aha...She wants me to see this!"...so i watched....and enjoyed, and came to the section where the tibetan monks were attempting to figure out "WHO" was the reincarnation of their old master...the little boy from Seattle, the little boy from Kathmandu, or the little girl from the Punjab...and since they couldn't decide, as all the little children answered the tests correctly, they finally took the question of WHO to the Oracle...who danced and chanted away in trance...and finally told them that ALL the children were the incarnation of the former master....that he had played a nice trick on them, and each child represented one of "body, speech, and mind".... when i saw that, i was astounded...because it answered my OWN questions about Amma and Mother Meera too!!! it showed me quite clearly that if Mother wants to take a birth as one person She may...and if She wants to take a birth as SEVERAL DIFFERENT incarnations at the SAME time, that She is perfectly capable of so doing...and in fact appeared to have done so in this case...so the Mother Who i was worshiping in the form of Meeramma was the SAME exact Mother as i was Loving in the form of Ammachi! (people who have read my recollections of this event before on this forum, please excuse my reposting it! i have done so only to make a point.) thus one could say really that there is NO conflict between the two Ammas...except in the minds of the beholder, so to speak. Each incarnation of Mother is here for Her own particular job...and we should not Exclude any of them to Whom we are drawn, or Who may have revealed Herself to us.... thus if people wish to describe their experience with Mother in any of Her forms here, in my opinion they are quite welcome to do so...people are always referring to other Gurus, and other incarnations of Mother on this forum (eg. Sri Maa, and Sri Karunamayi, as well as Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Paramahansa Yogananda)...and so i wonder why Mother Meera should alone be excluded from the party????? May Mother in all Her forms bless and protect each and every one of You, Her Children, even those Who might choose to neglect one or two of Her forms in preference for other equally valid forms... My prayer to Mother is: "O my Divine Mother, please grant this child pure love of Your Lotus Feet in ALL of Your Forms, and please shower Your Grace upon this child that he may live always according to Your Will alone!!" tonight i extend that prayer to include all of Mother's children...such that "She will bless all of you with pure Love of Her Lotus feet in ALL of Her Forms", and such that no one will discriminate between one Mother and another, seeing them as separate and different, but that each and every one of us will behold the Selfsame Mother to be manifesting in ALL of these Forms which we behold and find beautiful...including each and every one of Mother's Darling Daughters! O my Divine Mother You are indeed everywhere, manifesting in all of these forms! Please grant us pure love of Thee in all of them! Mother please bless us by leading us from untruth to truth, from darkness into Light, and from death to immortality! Om Shantih Shantih Shantihi! in Divine Mother's Love and in Her Service, as ever, your own Self, visvanathan

Namaskarams! excellent idea dear sister Iswari! if people are too nervous about reading Meeramma experiences here on this forum, i'm sure that the members of the Amma free speech zone would love to read the stories...i know that i as a member would LOVE to read any such experiences...i only wish that i lived closer to one of the cities where Meeramma will be appearing, as i would definitely be on the van heading for darshan...i know many Amma devotees who have been to see Mother Meera in Germany, and they felt no conflicts over it...but it was wonderful to hear their stories...it is inspiring to me to hear such stories of the Saints and Sages, and Incarnations...Such stories alone are the salt of this life...They give it savour and delicious taste...so if we are too nervous on this list, please feel free to post on amma free speech zone... in Amma's Love, as in Her Service, ever, your own Self, visvanathan
