Regarding #2 and #6 below, "discrediting people in her service" is

our duty if it means exposing the truth, given proof, rather than

popularity as support. If someone were to commit a crime, or not

uphold their duty, it's ignorant to look the other way or not say

anything. It might be you or your kid that falls into that hole on

the sidewalk that no one said anything about.

 

I don't remember many people coming to my defense when I'm being

hammered. From my point of view, I've OCCASSIONALY crossed the line

into personal abuse (not against Dayamrita), while others have OFTEN

crossed it to me. Believe me, I really wish people would debate the

issues, not the people on this list.

 

Just as Amma says about the scriptures, I say about rules:

"Rules are made for people, not the other way around."

 

One thing I read recently in a book about Adult Children of

Alcoholics (which would've helped me, had I read it in my school-age

years) is that "You shouldn't prevent a crisis, if it's the natural

outcome of events." -- sounds very Zen.
