thanks for your caring posts on our list.

 

I attended Amma's Albuquerque program this summer.

An interesting thing happened to me one day.

I was in the elevator with Sw. Dayamrita and maybe one or two others.

Dayamarita looked at me and said " from Iceland ."

Surprised, I said, "Oh, your rememeber me."

He said something like, of course.

I then thanked him for his email to me in Sept.,2001, following the

events of 9/11, assuring us that we should go ahead with our plans to

fly to London to attend Amma's coming program there. ( This was the

only time I have ever emailed him, and I have had only infrequent and

very few short interactions with him ).

 

He then said something like that it was great flying right after

9/11 because hardly anyone was on the planes and at the airports.

( My comment: FAITH IN GURU gives a devotee tremendous inner

strenght and courage. At that time,Dayamrita went ahead doing Amma's

work knowing that whatever happened to him was Amma's will. I, along

with many others in that time period, was fearful of getting on an

airplane, because of the horrible events of 9/11.)

 

The elevator then arrived at my floor, and I glanced at him at

him as I was exiting the elevator, and he was looking at me, and I saw

....... LIGHT....the color of a yellow or gold flame...in the center of

both of his eyes .

Then, very quickly, I was out of the elevator and the doors closed.

I thought to myself...WHAT !!!!

 

After returning to Iceland I remembered your post about a similar

experience with Dayamrita. I searched for it in your posts until I

found it.

Thanks for sharing it, as something like your experience has

now happened to me, although I do not quite understand it, except to

know that the flame of Amma's Light can shine through Dayamritaji.

 

As you wrote, we are indeed born to Bless.

SIMILAR EXPERIENCE

Around 1998(?) first time Dayamaritaji came to Philly, some devotees

invited me unexpectantly. It was an interesting situation. I met Amma

in 1995 and was not so much into seva yet. But here I was sitting at

the book table way way back in the hall by the door. The hall was

very narrow and very long; I couldn't even make out the people

singing bhajans on stage in front of the hall.

 

Also, this was a day after christmas and rather cold; i had my shoes

off and my jacket off. I was freezing; for some reason it did not

occur to me to put my shoes and jacket on. When the cold became

unbearable, the only thing I could think of was Amma's words "I am

not the body." Almost immediately( a minute or two ), I looked toward

Daymaritaji far away in the front of the hall; and a light came

toward me; it soothed me and i felt some relief from the cold; and

also gained some wisdom as I put my shoes and jacket on.

 

It's All Amma's Grace which we can receive easily from the Swamis;

they are very sensitive to what we feel and think and do.

 

And, I also believe, all of us can even bless each other if we are

innocent and sincere; it's Amma's Grace.

 

As my former teacher said "we are born to bless not to punish."

PS ~ another time, sitting close to the stage at the beginning of

Devi Bhava, i started to feel very good; I looked up to my right and

there was Dayamritaji quickly turning his gaze away from me as if to

avoid being caught. When we give love and respect, it comes back

several fold. Namaste.
