Jai Guru Datta!

I visited Manasa Sarovar and Mt. Kailash in June. It was tough and great. Sri Swamiji saved me twice during the trip.

We traveled from Khatmandu for five days on dusty, bumpy road filled with

pot holes for five days. Lodging facilities were bare minimum and dirty. On

the fifth day we were wondering if it is worth all the difficulties.

On fifth day evening, we had darshan of Manas Sarovar and Mt. Kailash. It

was so beautiful and enchanting that tears were rolling down for several

minutes.

At Ashtapad, while doing sashtanga namaskaram, had darshan of Lord Shiva. Again at North face of Mt. Kailash, while praying, Lord Shiva and Mother Godess Parvati appeared with Lord Ganapati.

On the second day of Parikrama (circumambulation) around Mt. Kailash, after hiking and trekking for eight hours, I was exhausted and could not walk any more. I prayed to Sri Swamiji. Sri Swamiji instructed me to concentrate on his divine lotus feet. Within a minute, my body became light and I could walk the remaining 30 minutes and reach Zutulpuk. While performing evening prayers, I experienced Shiva Tatva as mentioned in first shloka of Isavasya Upanishad. That is: initially, I felt that I was completely surrounded by Lord Shiva. After few moments, I felt that the entire universe is Lord Shiva and nothing else but Lord Shiva. When I woke up the next day, the same advaita experience continued.

As only four of us (out of 56) from our group did parikrama around Mt. Kailash, organizer provided one vehicle to stay back for us. Remaining vehicles with tourists started their return trip to Nepal. While returning from Mt. Kailash, we were trying to catch up with the rest of the group and we travelled for 12 hours with short breaks. It was risky as we were no longer travelling in the typical caravan. When our vehicle had flat tire, we helped driver to change wheel. There was no one else to help us. At 10:30 PM that night, we were about 35 minutes away from city called Saga. Our vehicle ran out of gas (petrol). It was cold outside, no other vehicles in sight, no sign of any people around. In desperation, I started praying to Sri Swamiji. Our driver tried to start the vehicle three times, vehicle would give few jerks and stop. Driver got out, lifted engine hood and checked the engine. Petrol/gas meter was showing that tank was empty. I continued praying to

Sri Swamiji. Driver came back in and started the engine. Engine started and surprisingly started moving forward. I closed my physical eyes and could clearly see through mental eye Sri Swamiji sitting on the engine and providing gas(petrol) to engine. Our vehicle went up the hill for 15 minutes and down hill for another 35 minutes without petrol/gas in it.

Many a thousand pranams and thanks to Sri Swamiji for saving me through those tough times.
