Daily Spiritual Thought

Contentment is a great strength. It comes when a person lives in honesty and simplicity. Contentment means we have overcome useless desires. I no longer wish for things and I am happy with what I have. Today let me cultivate the experience of contentment within myself by minimizing my desires.

Happiness

Happiness is not bought in a shopping spree, at least not the long lasting happiness I am looking for in life. When I begin to notice how I “shop” for happiness in a variety of ways I can detach from this habit and become the master of my own inner world.

Happiness cannot be found in other people, in a better job, a higher salary or a new place to live. Happiness can be found inside my own heart. Today let me look inside for the happiness I know I will find there.
