Guest guest
Dear Friends Kerry Ji is right about this........about two weeks ago I printed the first part of the Siva Purana that shows the origin of the Holy Rudraksha......it in the message section for anyone to read and the books of Siva Purana can be found at www.natarajbooks.com in the US............and what Kerry Ji said about Hindus takeing Rudraksha to Java has a strong possibility of being true also however have not been able to find any information on this one yet........I would think it would be true as the Hindu Monestary in Hawaii has a Rudraksha Tree forest where they brought the Beads to Hawaii.............. however the trees there are a different species than the Nepal Rudraksha Trees so they are not Nepal in origin.....this was told to me by one of the Sadhakas there when we wanted to import the Rudraksha Trees to the US however we wanted the nepal trees species of Eleocarpus ganitrus roxb and they could not provide this here is one of the difficulty in assessing this one and trying to figure it out.....there are about 300 different species subspecies of the Holy Rudraksha and most of the Indonesian beads are the smaller 2mm to 10 mm size that we generally call Punch Mukhi Rudraksha even though Mrs Neeta has been able to find them in other Mukhis besides five Mukhi then there are another spcies of Rudraksha Beads that are larger and look more like the round Nepal Beads however they do not have the size or luxuriouse exterior protrusions and Mukhis on the outside of the beads as do the beads of Gauda Land............these could be most likely a subspecies of the original species of beads or nepal beads brought from India and planted in an environment that does not give them enough nourishment to become large and full like the Nepal Beads that are grown in the rich environment of the Himalaya Forest In the early 1900s and maybe even earlier the Indonesians had the opportunity to tell people that the indonesian beads were more powerful than the larger beads....this is because they had the smaller beads to sell and in addition this may have been due to the fact that Nepal was remote and the Arun Valley where the remaining forest is was isolated and Indonesia was right in the middle of South Asian trade routes.......In telling the world that the small Indonesian Rudraksha were the most powerful they made a liveing selling these small punch mukhi malas world wide.......only difficulty here is they were telling people something that was not true specific to origin and size of beads simply to sell a holy item and make money to feed their families so they really cannot be judged in one way or another however we can at least read the Siva Purana now and see exactly what is the truth Siva Purana and all other puranas that follow clearly state the larger the bead the most Auspicious and the smaller the bead the least.........they are all Rudraksha........its simply wrong to tell others that the smaller beads are more powerful as the beads of Indonesia are more readily available in quantity........and it takes maybe 10 Indonesian beads to make the same effect as one Nepal bead.......... that is one reason they are less expensive.......they have same effects only for some reason at lower levels of intensity and power hope this helps a little to further explain about origins of the Holy Rudraksha and where anyone can find the information needed for their investigations.......another book on our website to read is the book by Dr Subas Rai named Rudraksha Values and Merits as it takes the reader from the Origins of the Holy Rudraksha to the scientific studies done in Bangalore in the 1980s to ascertain the true nature of he Holy Rudraksha in scientific terms and then they catalogued all the books with Rudraksha Quotation Those who would like to continue their investigatgions there is an article to read that will also help and is in our article section in the R section named Rudraksha for Health and Self Empowerment Wishing you and Family the Best DD , "ana_raguin" <ana_raguin wrote: > > Thanks > > , "kerryhermes" > <kerryhermes@> wrote: > > > > Hi Ana, > > > > I've been learning a lot from this Group's discussions ever since > > joining.
