Broken thorny protusion on beads

Respected Gurujan's,

 

I recently bought 13 mukhi few months back and with in few days of

wearing the mala few prutrusions that were very thin broke off from

the rudraksha. One can clearly see the place from where those

protrusion broke off.

 

Is there any change in the effect of the beads due to the breakage of

the protgrusions at few places?
