Guest guest
Deluged with calls, astrologers have asked people to stay calm, adding that an immediate change in horoscopes is not required The likely addition of three new planets to our solar system is creating chaos for astrologers, who are being bombarded with calls from people enquiring about the status of their birth charts. While astrologers are using this discovery to explain extreme climate changes around the world, the common man is more concerned about his own fate. Some astrologers are having an "A ha!" moment, blaming the three planets for natural disasters from the Tsunami to floods to drought. But, perhaps to stem rising panic among their clients and the public or because they genuinely cannot yet gauge the impact, they are quick to add that these planets will have little effect on human lives. Astro-scientist, Ravi Kumar, whose phone has been ringing non-stop since the announcement of the new planets, says, "It has become a cause of concern for most and I have had calls about it from people both in India and abroad. The three new planets will definitely bring changes in astrological calculations and significant changes will also appear in the climatic conditions. This will in turn affect our health conditions." However he is not recommending any changes to charts and horoscopes at the moment. Asked why he prefers to maintain the status quo and he says, "The planets were already in existence but since we were following the old pattern, we didn't factor in these new planets while making the horoscopes. Ancient sages like Mahamuni and Jaimuni who discovered the science of astrology followed the old pattern of the nine planets and they must have a reason for it." Rakesh Agarwal is one person who doesn't plan to take any chances. His wedding was recently fixed for next year and now he is in a fix. He plans to find out if the woman he has chosen to be his life partner will still be an ideal spouse. She too is in agreement. "I do not want to be stuck in a bad relationship and neither does her family want her to be unhappy. So, we are making new birth chakras and consulting our astrologer in a week's time to find out the results," he says. While astrologers are likely to see a mad rush in coming weeks to re-make horoscopes and re-read fortunes by everyone from politicians to movie stars, astrologer Gopal Krishna Murthy urges calm and says that changes in the horoscopes are not required immediately. Echoing Ravi Kumar, he says "The three planets will affect the solar family and bring about a lot of weather changes. They are more likely to affect the Earth rather than individuals. It will take about 30 more years before the planetary change affect people's lives." Courtsey : Deccan.com Prasanna Kumar / </>
Guest guest
Interesting article! But, how could people think changes would occur in horoscopes, as those "new" planets must have already been there for aeons? They must have obviously not been known to modern man. I suppose just now, with modern equipment, they are being seen for the 1st time. I believe the Vedas to be applicable to everyone regardless of race and creed, as Karunamayi Amma says, and totally infallible. Therefore, a safety net must have been built into the Vedic Jyotish system to account for these so called "unknown" planets of today. If not, then we would have to question even the Bhrigu Samhita and so forth. Guest guest
Dear All, These planets has nothing to do with Native astrology. Vedic astrology is based on a time frame system based on the time of radiations reaching a person. For example if you are born in Ashlesha then the radiations of Mercury will reach you first. This way we obtain the maximum limit of 120 years. A person can live for 100 years max ( On average). So one can understand that the radiations of these planets will not reach a person in time ( that is before his departure). So they will not effect mortal beings like us. Guest guest
Interesting point, but not necessarily valid. The radiations from many objects could be affecting us, not just the ones closest. It just may be more subtle. - a_jagawat sacred-objects Sunday, August 20, 2006 6:04 AM Re: Fates hang on new planets Dear All, These planets has nothing to do with Native astrology.
