"Om Namah Shivaya"

Dear All,

I have been listening to a CD called Mantra Shakti II which has a number of mantras sung by Shankar Mahadevan Ji. Amongst the listings is a mantra called "Dainik Rakshan Mantra" which I have written out below. I believe the mantra is said at the feet of Lord Shiva for His Almighty grace and protection and this is the way I have recited it.

Whilst I know how to recite the mantra, I do not know precisely what it means and shall be most grateful if someone would be kind enough translate it for me into English.

With many thanks for your kind attention.
