Guest guest
Hello Everyone.. I have what may seem like an odd question, but I am doing some research and was wondering if anyone knew if any of the shaligram..specifically the fierce "ugra" shilas can be manipulated to be used in black magic instead of protecting from black magic... Just something has come up in my work and interviews & is difficult getting much info on shilas. Thanks, Ariel
Guest guest
Dear Ariel, Nice research subject. ALL Shalagram are ruled by Lord Vishnu. And He is all-auspicious. Vishnu can never be "man-handled" into doing harm, nor does Vishnu engage in evil schemes. Anyone attempting to use Shalagram for black magic might go to hell; OR, they might change their evil ways and be blessed. Guest guest
Dear Ariel, If we know some powerful man, and we ask him to harm someone, then he will reject us as friends. It is same with Shalagram. If anyone asks Shalagram to cause harm, then they might be rejected. Guest guest
Richard, also if i might add: Salagram puja is purely Sattvic in nature; whereas tantra/black magic is Rajasic/Tamasic in nature. Guest guest
Dear Ariel, Shaligrams enter in to your life due to accumulated past lives merits & good karmas. Like holy Rudrakshas, they find their owner when the appropriate time comes in one's life. Shri Vishnu Himself is present in the Shila's. It is not an object to be used for black magic. I have been reciting Shri Vishnu Sahasaranam for the past 20 years, & one fine day Rudraksha's entered my life and then Shaligrams. I felt that Shri Hari has immensely blessed be by appearing in the form of Shaligram. I have three beautiful Shilas with me right now. The place where I reside ( Oman) it is difficult to get even Tulasi leaves, but when I sit in front of the Shilas to recite my prayers, with my simple puja, I clearly feel the energy from shilas radiating. Lord Vishnu is a protector. Guest guest
Thank You ever so much Kiranji: I have been in the field of vibrational healing for over 20 years when rudraksha came into my life & now have had the good fortune of being blessed with 2 wonderful shilas and doing daily puja. The shaligram came to me at a time when I have needed much healing and change in my life and as such I have taken sharana in Lord Shri Krishna..Am feeling healing at a profound depth on all levels of my being You and Richardji have been a great help in your wisdom.. Have known how people can misuse crystals and even yantra for bad purposes, but as you move to more refined and sacred energies such as rudraksha and shaligram, indeed that does make sense it would be impossible to manipulate them for evil purposes..and as was said person trying to do so could even be cured of their negativity through the Grace contained in them.. Guest guest
Hari Om! Hari Om Tat Sat! Dear Shri Ariel please accept my respectful pranams! Shri Richarji and Shri Kiran are right on the bindu! Here is an extract from English translation of SaaLigraamam sloka mantra (appeared in Centenary malar of Sri MadhurAnthakam Swamy) written by Dr. T.D Muralidharan, Assistant editor of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai. Yuthishtira said: Oh PurushOtthama, God of Gods, I want to hear it all, what is the best of worship of Gods. Please tell me. Shri Bhagawaan said: The land, as extensive as ten yOjanAs (100 miles) lies extended as the Northern bank of Gandaki river and at the south of the Lord of mountains. It is a great land. One who desires expiation of the sins perpetrated since birth, he should remove (completely) the water of SaaLigraamam. Salutations to you (who removes the water from saaLigrAmam after bathing). One should hold the water (thus obtained from washing the Feet of Lord VishNu) in his palm and drink. It drives away untimely death. It destroys all illnesses. The water sprinkled on human beings burns away even the sin of killing a brahmin. One obtains the same benefits of performance of 1000 (agnishtOma) yaagams with agni and 100 vajapeya sacrifices, if one consumes the food offered to saaLigraamam (i.e. Lord VishNu) If one bathes Saaligraamam (Lord VishNu's Feet) with water and offers thuLasi leaves at His Feet, he would obtain the merit equivalent to crores of puNyams. Even if a saaLigraamam is broken or cracked, or burnt in fire, there is no harm; He is Blemishless; Faultless; There is no demerit in Him. Worshipping saaLigraamam qucikly destroys any sin arising out of brahmahayta, or any sin arising out of body, mind and speech. It will confer all benefits on you, when you worship saaLigraamam. The saaLigrAmam is arisen out of Sriman Narayanan. It has developed a wheel within it by its own action. It has the capacity to grant boons. One should always take the water from the Feet of Lord VishNu (saaLigraamam); the flowers and thuLasi leaves bedecked on Him should be placed on one's head; food offered to Him should be consumed along with a thuLasi leaf. A little portion of saaLigraamam will absolve you from even the killing of one crore jIvAs. (*doesn't mean you go ahead killing:-) *) One should always meditate on saaLigramam and worship Him. Best of the brahmin should repeat this everyday. Such a person will go the ultimate place where Sriman Narayanan resides; He will be absolved from all sins and reach Sri VishNulOkam. One who performs the worship of Lord VishNu through saaLigraama shila, he will obtain the desired empire. He will see all ten avtaars of Lord VishNu. All sins performed in crores of one's lives are destroyed by sipping water from the Feet of Lord VishNu (i.e. saaLigraamam). No water should be dropped. I have not covered the translation fully and I have mentioned only few points from the above article to drive home the point that SAALIGRAAMAM WORSHIP IS THE BEST AND ONE NEEDS TO DO AT ANY COST. PLEASE DO NOT WORRY ABOUT what harm it would bring as you do not know the type and nature of SaaLigraamam. No harm would happen to you. How can there be harm by doing a good holy deed? Also we perform with SathvIka tyAgam and for Bhagawath preethi. Subham Dinam Astu! Or Have a nice day! Guest guest
/dispCategory.php?catId=27 they sell Ganga jal. I think it's purified of germs...better write them and ask about that. It's worth to get it because you can mix normal water into the Ganga jal and you have a lot more. Sure, drinking unpurified Gangajal can make you ill. I know of a true story from last year. In Vraja-Mandala, in Varshan-dham, at Maan Mandir is Avadhuta Radha Charan Babaji - he has been caretaker there since over 60 years now. Last year he lead a group of devotees on a confidential Vraja Mandala Parikrama. At one sacred kunda they all sipped water...and one videshi man became so ill that he died within 12 hours of drinking that holy water. They got him to the hospital in Vrindavan in time, but he died anyway. There is also a mudra, mantra, and method to turn normal water into Ganga jala. Guest guest
I have purchased this Gangajal directly from the manufacturer. They are so far the only authorized company by the Government of Uttaranchal who have been permitted to draw and packing Gangajal from Gangotri Valley. Their plant is situated in Gangotri valley with govt. permission to draw water at the Gangotri. They have a modern plant. The water is not treated with any process to purify it of germs. It is claimed to be mechanically filtered, but I have found minute amounts of sediment in some pouches. It is clearly stated on the pouches that this water is only for puja purpose. I believe this phrasing is used because the company have not applied govt. for permission to make a drinking water plant, as there would be more regulations involved. But water used for puja is usually also consumed, so... ;-) As far as I know, this is definitely the best and purest gangajal you can obtain commercially. I have absolutely no hesitation of drinking gallons of it, what to speak of bathing in it! ~ Ole sacred-objects, "Richard Shaw-Brown" <rsbj66 wrote: > > /dispCategory.php?catId=27 > they sell Ganga jal. Guest guest
Hello, It depends from where the Ganges water was collected. If you drink it in haridwar ;-) lord shiva help you. But if you get it from Gaumukh you can definately drink it. The special property of Ganga Jal is that even when bottled it will never smell or become stale. It will stay fresh for ever. But thanks to modern age and pollutants even the survival of Gangetic dolphins and Gharial is thretened. One more thing about holy rivers there is an ancient saying which goes like this: Ganga Snanae, Narmada Darshane, Tapi Smarane Papam Nashyeti. Meaning bathing in Ganges, Beholding Narmada and Remembering Tapi destroy all sins. Narmada orginated from Shiva's Perspiration and in ancient times was known as Rudra Deha. Tapi is the Daughter of Sun god Surya and is also known as Tupti meaning the Boiling one. No wonder it floods very often and just a few days washed away half of Surat thats located on her banks. Again Surat was known as Sooryapur and was the capital of Karna the son of Sun god. Jai Mai, -Jay Get on board. You're invited to try the new Mail Beta. Guest guest
Here it is: http://www.gangajal.com/ Note: Min purchase qty is box with 60 pouches. Copper kalash is also available. Holy Ganga Jal is collected at the height of 2100 meter near Gangotri and packed without using any other external media to ensure its purity. Holy Ganga Jal is filtered using natural filtration process and no chemical treatment is given. Mahamuni Das <mahamuni (AT) cox (DOT) net> wrote: Ole, I know the company you speak of. I don't have any packages left in the house. Why not provide the link or address for the benefit of everyone? Jai Gange! Surya - alstrup sacred-objects Thursday, August 17, 2006 7:25 AM Re: Shaligram I have purchased this Gangajal directly from the manufacturer.
