Guest guest
Dear Sai, Svagatam!!! You missed so much on this subject. If you look back about 1000 messages you find detailed info on real and bogus Hatha Jodi. The bogus are feet of a bird, and I don't think it's an attempt to disgrace the puja ghar...it's just greed to make money by fraud. Real Hatha Jodi is a plant root and is available from some of the members. I would like to get one for our Navaratna Museum in Bangkok. Guest guest
Sirs, Hathjodi is the root of a plant that looks like Dhatura and is found in Chhatteesgarh forests apart from Nepal. In most cases it is fake. What is passed on as a Hathjodi is skillfully carved wood in the shape of two claws{ as if joined in prayer } and joined at the base. Even the bark is glued to make it look real root piece. If there are a flaws still visible they are covered by wax and vermillion { sindoor } Therefore before buying, the hathjodi should be dipped in boiling water. If it is a skillfully carved piece the glue would come off, and thus the bark too, and the flaws covered with wax or vermillion will open up for examination under a magnifying glass. If you find any traces of human interference you know it is a fake. With regards, Rajan sacred-objects, "saisatishmu" <saisatishmu wrote: > > Dear Richard > Thank you so much for your reply. Is there anyone in your mind who > can help me get real hattajodi in India,Do you know any contacts who > can help me aquire real hatha jodi and its poojan vidhan > Sai > > > sacred-objects, "Richard Shaw-Brown" > <rsbj66@> wrote: > > > > Dear Sai, > > > > Svagatam!!!
