Guest guest
Without Water DEAR EDITOR The article “water is life, life water that’s all” by Prof. Syed Sajjad Hussain sends out an important and timely message to all especially to lake dwellers. Water is regarded as the elixir of life. At least on this planet earth, life can’t be imagined without water. The most ancient literature of the world, the Vedas regarded water as one of the five basic elements. Vedic literature describes water in various forms and from various sources, with equally various characteristics, depending on the source o its origin, since water constitutes about 70-90% of protoplasm, therefore water is essentially required, besides the fact that about 75% of this planet is covered with water, in its various forms, life in its present form will perish without water. It has been found that if about 10% of the human body water is lost, serious disorders result and if 200% water is lost then death may occur. Let us all join hands and conserve this gift of God and our environment. This shall be the right step in right direction.
